Sounds good, just in time for season 1.

Think I've fixed my stuttering problem now, I had VSync on by mistake.

I like the sound of those new features!
Sounds like a handy little update...

Will, once you restart Steam the update should be there automatically. If you can join our server, you have the patch.

How horrible the patch is (although I haven't experienced any problems yet), they seem to be working hard to fix it all and fix more in the future. This is what they said at RSC:

"We just finished a promising test event, patch to appear public should not take more than few days tops"

I know not everyone likes Steam but I really like the way the patches are delivered, virtually unseen, without having to faff around and check what version you are currently running, download the update and manually install etc. etc.

I'd rather they did these small incremental patches than take *ages* for a big update.

Everything seemed to go smoothly last night so fingers crossed for the rest of the season Smiley

virtually unseen

Or completely unseen in Race's case. I had no idea it had been patched until I looked at the version of the executable in Explorer. I'd be much happier if the update record showed the complete update history, but it does not show the latest patch  Roll Eyes

The downside of the steam update mechanism is that if there are problems with a patch we can't hold off installing it.

In many respects it's better for everyone to be having the same problems than a mixed bag. I remember trying to persuade people not to upgrade to GTR 1.5.0.0...
