Back on topic then, are you importing all the existing race data from the old GPL seasons? If so will we be able to equate our login here with our GPL results and have a combined Racing History?

I downloaded and installed. But I just get the first screen showing my graphics board name in the left top corner, then it quits to desktop.

That had something to do with a folder compression IIRC. I'm trying to get those links which contain everything, haven't been able to contact the guy yet Smiley.

P.S Can these GPL posts be made in a seperate thread?

Too late - we shall infest you....bwahahahahaha!

Try: http://www.gpllinks.org

There's a FAQ section that covers this and other problems.

Cheers,

Steven

I thought that the demo was limited to two tracks from that season and you needed a dat file from the original gpl cd to play other official tracks. 3rd party tracks i think work ok though.

I've created a GPL board under the SimRacing in General area.

Yes, that's one of the big selling points.

So will the 2004 demo and some minor adjustments, allow us to compete in GPL races?
Or do we have to BUY it?!?!

I've had this conversation ages ago with a mate. As good as it is to go out and buy games....what's the situation when they are, effectively, abandonware? I haven't a clue where to buy GPL, I thought the only way to get it now was to download it and add ridiculous amounts of third party mods to get it remotely functioning on modern spec pc's. I never even got my wheel to work on it, so gave up after about 2 laps Grin
