Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 1790s

Darren is followed by Aagramn approaching the last left hander. Darren takes this turn a bit slower than usual (his own words) and Aagramn which was close behind (not too close) didn't expect this and touched his rear. Darren then gets loose and looses more speed which in turn makes Aagramn touch his rear agin, sealing his destiny to go to the sand.

The car behind is responsible to avoid these situations even when the car in front slows more than usual. Darren did not brake hard either, so Aagramn should be able to avoid. I think Aagramn just didn't expect him to slow that much, but should've slowed down to avoid the second impact when he saw Darren lost control.

This was clearly avoidable, but since only one place was lost, or maybe two if he'd continued, and not much other damage I'll give a 1 place penalty for this incident.

  • Aagramnpenalty — Avoidable rear ending — 1 place lost
For advice only - unreported by victim, so penalty disregarded

I don't know of any way to manually force a server to sync with a client.

Well I really can't drive these GTR2 cars for toffee!  No major mistakes, just very slow.   Sad   It's very lonely at the tail end, and frustrating seeing people I race closely with in GTL disappearing up the road at quite a rate.  And from the sound of it, mostly having a really good close battle.

Must persevere, back to driving and setup school for me so I can get into the thick of it.   Grin

The grid issues must be server not connection issues - my ISP is doing its best to give me a coronary, took me 15 minutes just to get into the lobby, but everything was fine once I joined, even with my dubious connection.

I believe the "synchronising game" thing is all automated, it's definately not something you can initiate, it's just something that happens when certain conditions are met.

Now that was what I call a race!! Best race i've had in GTR so far no doubt!
Really interesting battle with the 2 Mark's for the full duration and down to the line
- this will go down in history for me as "The Battle of St. Marks" Wink

Great driving chaps. And a great outbraking move into T2 McClean (near the frantic end)!! That was some move Shocked  - I think it's called "determination" lol

This was a classic, already been said Cheesy,.  Traded places with Bara early on but he got me back on the downhill approach to T4 after he got a nice run out of T3.  Bara then closed right up to Jonzo with me following not to far behind and at T1 i think bara may have missed his braking spot and ran wide, he rejoined behind Backo (yeah i watched the replay Tongue) This allowed me concentrate on trying to attack Jonzo but i really couldnt get my nose along side anywhere and anytime i got a run Jonzo was awake and put his car in a good defensive position which was enough to put me off having a lunge.  But while all this was happening Bara had the head down because his car was getting bigger in my mirrors.

Had a bit of a hairy moment when lapping a back marker at the last turn Jonzo went one way i went the other which  took me across the grass and i feared i would lose it but it worked out ok yes.

Later i managed to get alongside MJ and make a pass down into the long right hander before the uphill chicane but i then promptly made a mistake by running wide at T1 and so i left MJ a bit of room on exit because i thought he'd pounce at that but he stayed behind and i took up a defensive position heading towards T2 because Bara came from nowhere and was right on our tails.  Then at T2 i run wide again and that left me without an ideal line into T3 with Bara really close , so i take up another defensive position to try and hold Bara off thru T4.

I then got a small breather for next lap or so but Bara soon closed up again,  ran wide at T1 again and Bara sneaks past on the inside and as we approach T2 on the last lap i thought to myself feck it and had do or die lunge underbraking while trying my utmost not to take him out like ive done in the past (Monza GTs), but i didnt and somehow held on for the rest of the last lap.

Excellent race Grin great driving from both of ya!!

Congrats to Dan on a good win in the RS

PS.. sorry this is so late but i had to dash off last night in a hurry.
