Moderator's Report

Luci locks up at T1 and slides into the back of Phil. Classic rear ender. I did say that if anyone was involved in incidents that they should do a stop-go in the pits next time they pass. Luci did not do this so a penalty is given.

Moderator's Report

Lap 4: Paul Taylor brakes too late after the chicane and slides into the rear of Gary who is on the correct racing line for the corner. The connection is made as Gary turns in. This could have been avoided and hence earns warning.

Lap 6: Paul Taylor again brakes too late at the last corner and connects with Gary. Due to the earlier indiscretion this earns a 10 point penalty. May I again remind drivers that if you do a stop-go there will not be a penalty applied.

Moderator's Report

Lap 10: Paul Taylor vs Lucinda Wong.

Paul spins at the final bend and ends up pointing the wrong way round at the right hand side of the bend. Paul waits a moment and rejoins the track. Unfortunately Luci is appearing over the crest and collects Paul on her way. At the point that PT starts his rejoining manoevre from in the car there is no sound of an approaching vehicle. Due to the way he finished up, rejoining at that part would never be easy and a shift-R is just as dodgy. However, PT should have done a stop-go after this but failed to do so.

  • Paul Taylor — Contact with L. Wong — 5.0 championship point(s)

Lap 10: Paul Taylor vs Ant Miller
This incident occurs directly after the one above, so I have to take into account the situation from both parties' perspectives. As Paul rejoins after the above he starts the straight at a reduced speed. Ant Miller has seen him rejoin but runs along the outside into the 1st corner. Paul has the racing line and Ant turn in regardless catching Paul's gearbox with the obvious result. However, Paul does catch the inside kerb and washes wide slightly. I've played this one a few times and my decision is as follows: Penalty 5 points Ant Miller as Ant knew Paul was there and should have conceded the corner.

  • Ant Miller — Contact with Paul Taylor — 5.0 championship point(s)

Ant uses a second Shift-R following the lap 10 incident. In Division 2, only one shift-r is allowed to promote cleaner racing. Other drivers have abided by this rule and have retired themselves. Hence I cannot give a penalty as this would allow drivers to use a second shift-r knowing that they'd get a reduced points score for that race. This would be unfair to all other Div 2 drivers that have gracefully chosen to retire in the previous races.

Hence I must exclude Ant Miller from the results at Zandvoort.

  • Ant Miller — Second shift-R - excluded from race — excluded

Moderator's Report

Paul Thurston vs Andy Wright

Malmedy - Andrew's car dissappears and Paul continues on thinking that Andrew has disco'd. Paul continues down the straight all alone and then halfway through the kink Andrew's car suddenly re-appears just 6 inches from the front of Paul's car. Due to the shock and probably the shite that fell out of the bottom of his overalls - Paul inevitably screws up the corner and goes off.

There is no fault to apportion here - solely the fact that its important that drivers ensure their connections are the best they can achieve.

Moderator's Report

Daniel Thompson vs Lol Speedfreak

Lap One, at the end of the main straight, Daniel brakes later than Lol and his angle takes him into the inside of the corner. Lol gives Daniel plenty of room to complete the manoevre but from inside Lol's car it seems as if Daniel's rear end contacts his car and sends him into the fencing. I've looked at the replay and from the chase view there is no contact between the two cars - merely GPL inventing a collision.

Hence this can only be a racing incident.

Nathan Vald vs Paul Taylor

Lap 4, Nathan follows Paul too closely into T1 and due to Paul's slower passage through the mid part of the corner, Nathan connects and sends them both up the banking. Unfortunately this causes a mass pileup as Paul's car comes off the banking involving 5 other cars. I also have to say that Nthan's re-entry onto the track, straight onto the racing line (indeed here is no other place on that side to join) and hence his slow speed caused further problems. Both Daniel Thompson and Chris Darkes had to swerve out of his way causing them both to spin needlessly.

Nathan does do a stop go but I still feel that the incident does warrant a penalty.

Hence, 10 point Penalty.

Moderator's Report

Paul Thurston vs Andy Wright.

T3 Paul connects with Andy as he takes the turning point for the corner. Again this is a racing incident as I feel its a 50/50 blame. Andy for trying a manoevre that wouldn't come off and Paul for not paying more attention to the mirrors.
