Moderator's Report

Lap 4 Turn 8, after spinning mid corner Glen runs onto the grass on the inside of the track and tries to rejoin at the apex of the corner hitting Baz West off the track, due to being only half in control and waiting for Baz to start first only a warning.

Lap 5 Turn 5, Glen Field overtakes Baz West into hairpin under yellow flags.

Lap 1 Turn 1, Glen Field ran into the back of Baz West after breaking too late, as he patiently waited for the rest of the field to pass before re-joining only a warning.

Lap 5 Turn 1 Uwe turns in onto and hits David Few who had pulled alongside Uwe thanks to a slipstream down the straight, it was lucky that neither party spun but this was still a dangerous move, Uwe defended his line far too late.

Lap 19 just before turn 1, Daren Willand gets spun down the start finish straight by Phil Lee's wreaked Ferrari and comes to a stop pointing across the track, Daren then spin turns in the middle of the track and ends up collecting Paul Adams Car causing it to spin out of control toward turn 1 collecting 3 more cars on the way, it would have been much safer to reverse away from the racing line onto the grass before turning and rejoining.

  • Daren Willand — Dangerous rejoin — 5.0 championship point(s)

Lap 15 Turn 4, Kevin spins to a stop onto the outside of the corner and rejoins the racing line straight away. It would have been safer to reverse a bit and rejoin the track further up the road when it was clear.

Moderator's Report

Lap 1 Turn 2 (esses) Kevin Bridgen pulls along the outside of Phil Lee into the esses and continues to turn left to take the racing line for the rest of the complex, he hits Phil's rear right wheel and crashes badly. Phil is able to continue in the same postion so only a warning - allow more room for cars you are passing.

Lap 2 Turn 5 After following Martin Peck into turn 5, Kevin Brigden carries more speed and takes half a look at passing Martin up the inside, fails to check his speed in time and hits Martin's left rear wheel putting Martin on his roof. Kevin carries on. Take into account other cars and drivers are faster and slower at different places, and be sure you can pass cleanly.

Lap 10 Turn 6: Dick Barker breaks too late for the corner and shunts Gavin Reid into the dunes. Waits well.

Take into account other cars and drivers are faster and slower at different places.

Lap 1 Turn 4: Through the tight hairpin Martin Portman takes the tighter line and Daren Willand takes the oppertunity to drive around the outside, at the exit Daren is still along side Martin who has not appeared to have noticed him and so turns in on Daren at the next right hander.

Be aware of other cars around you.

Moderator's Report

Lap 1 La Source: Kevin spins on the entry to the hairpin and is facing the wrong way at the apex. He attempts a spin turn and stops to let Martin Portman through, then continues just as Ian Fawcett turns the corner, Kevin hits Ian's car lightly and Ian is able to continue.

It would have been safer to turn off the track onto the grass before attempting the turn and rejoin.

Moderator's Report

Lap 1 Turn 1: After getting a good start and passing two cars on the inside of the grid (including 2nd place man), Kevin Brigden enters the corner too fast to make safely, and as he slides across the track he collects Paul Adams onto his roof...

Lap 1 Turn 1: After driving past Baz West under brakes, Uwe Daniel turns in across his nose into the corner, Baz was lucky to escape and continue as Uwe went spinning off track.

Due to the aggressive nature of the move and the fact it caused further crashes behind him, I shall give a STRONG WARNING, this would have been a 5 pointer had Baz been worse effected, please be more careful at the start.

Moderator's Report

Kevin Brigden, lap 2 Becketts:

After spinning onto the grass on the outside of the corner and end up pointing the wrong way, you attempt a spin turn in the middle of the track, collecting Martin Portman, who is spun across the track hitting another two cars, also a further two cars had to take to the grass to avoid the carnage. Despite this you continue to spin turn again, luckily getting away with it the second time. (on lap 2 you should have expected the field to be tightly bunched, there was no space to attempt such a manuver so you should have waited for the field to clear)

(It is this kind of incident I was trying to avoid by making so many cautions (in general ) about bad driving practices such as this. Obviously my warnings were not heeded this time and a 10 point penalty is the result.)

Dick Barker, lap 23 Stowe: You out break yourself into the corner and collect Ian Bassi onto the grass, you bounce off the walls and continue.

  • Dick Barker — Rear ending Ian Bassi — 5.0 championship point(s)
