Moderator's Report

A high standard of driving as I would expect and a great win for K Blood.

1.M Zamora and M Rodrigues Lap 1 Stowe

Side by side contact as they both go round the corner aiming for the same piece of road. Racing incident.

Malc and D Freire Lap 3 Copse

Freire rear ends Malc under braking. Simple as that.

  • Pau Freirepenalty — Rear ending Malc — 2 places lost

D Wilkinson and Pedro Marques Lap 5 Stowe

Hard one to mod this but here goes. Dave is trying to overtake Marques down the inside and gets alongside at one point. However, Marques is later on the brakes and just has an advantage as they go through the corner at which point they make side by side contact. Marques could have left more room but he did have the racing line and had his right rear wheel level with Dave's front left at the moment of impact. Dave could have backed off and not tried to retake the racing line as he knew he was slightly behind.

  • David Wilkinsonpenalty — Overambitious overtake — 1 place lost
  • Pedro Marquespenalty — Side by side contact — 1 place lost

P Nogrip & I Tierno Lap 17 Start/Finish straight

Nogrip runs into Tierno who is at right angles across the track with no yellow flag. Nogrip has to make a shift-r but doesn't do the required stop/go penalty.

  • Paulo Marques — Failing to Stop & Go after Shift R — 15.000 seconds added

Moderator's Report

Great driving standard again. Congrats to Nev. Not many incidents...well only 1 really.

K Blood and Malc Lap 1 T2

K Blood is leading and Malc is following as they approach turn 2. Malc misjudges his braking and catches Blood's right rear. I don't see any mitigating circumstances but I'm open to comments from either of the drivers.

That's it apart from some shift-rs with stop/goes done. If only they were all like that!

Moderator's Report

L1 K.Blood takes a wide line through the bottom hairpin to avoid Rachel's spin, and D.Wilkinson follows him in on a tighter line. Unfortunately Kenny turns towards the exit suddenly & straight into the path of Dave's car, who has no time to react despite moving at less than 30mph. Dave would have been better to hang back a little considering Rachel's car was partially blocking the corner entry & they were under yellow flags, and Kenny would have been better to stick to his side of the track while being followed so closely, but neither driver really did anything wrong & it was more a matter of recovering after avoiding a spinning car than any kind of passing attempt. D.Wilkinson is not entitled to a non-fault Shift-R.

Racing Incident.

  • David Wilkinson — failing to SnG after a fault Shift-R — 15.000 seconds added

L1 N.Richard & R.Carneiro are side by side braking into the final hairpin and it looks like Rui's rear end locks up & he gets it a bit sideways, collecting Nev. Neither car was affected significantly and from the angle of Rui's car it's clear it wasn't a deliberate move.

Racing Incident.

L3 As N.Richard & R.Carneiro weave down the S/F straight Rui nudges Nev. Both cars continue unaffected but this is too close for comfort.

L4 S.Macias taps R.Carneiro into the tyres at the bottom hairpin & Rui is forced to Shift-R to get out. Rui was braking hard but Sergio was simply too close at the turn in point for such a slow corner and had no overlap so the pass wasn't on.

Moderator's Report

L1 1:15 M.Zamora's loses it briefly as he exits T2, possibly a result of warp from Malc but the server replay shows they were well apart. MZ bounces off the barrier into Malc. MZ was out of control at the moment of impact & Malc was unaffected.

Racing Incident.

L2 12:47 N.Richard and M.Zamora collide as MZ recovers after running wide. Neither car had time to react or anywhere to go.

Racing Incident.

L12 M.Zamora and A.Gombos are side by side across the line but AG has the inside line for T1 and is ahead by just under a car length. MZ turns in straight to the apex and clips the rear of AG's car. A.Gombos is entitled to a non-fault Shift-R and takes it.

Moderator's Report

Lap1 P.Skingley rearends Malc into T2 under braking. This wasn't a passing attempt, Paul just didn't brake soon enough in traffic and on cold tyres. Malc recovered immediately, losing two places. Bearing in mind that Paul is a Div2 driver in an MC race what would otherwise be a 3 place penalty is reduced.

  • Tifosi312penalty — Rear End Shunt on Lap 1 — 1 place lost

Lap1 RMJ gets a bit sideways coming out of the hairpin, probably could have caught it but he lost speed & Malc tapped him into a full spin, putting both cars off the track. It's unclear whether RMJ's initial spin was caused by loss of control or warp from Malc's car, but the server replay shows RMJ was already sideways when Malc hit him. Malc could have braked more to avoid RMJ's out of control car however.

Lap1 D.Wilkinson takes a wide line into the hairpin to give P.Schyns room as he attempted to pass, but Phillipe also ran wide & took out Dave. Phillipe should have stuck to the inside to avoid Dave, but bearing in mind the loss of control by both drivers what would normally be a 2 place penalty is reduced.
