Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 495s

Ade runs wide onto the grass, but keeps his car under control. He has little option but to rejoin, as he is running out of run off space. Psuedo spots him a bit late, and takes evasve action. He then spots Truetom on the other side of him, tries to move back to the right, loses control and hits Ade, spinning out. No driver was at fault for the contact.

  • Racing incident

Server replay time: 655s

JPV brakes too late and bumps Prof, spinning him around. JPV admitted responsibility for the incident and took a drive through, so I'm redusing this to a zero place penalty.

  • jpv (JPV)penalty — Rear-end contact. — 0 places lost
For advice only - unreported by victim, so penalty disregarded

Couple of req's

  • On the lap entering the pits, could drivers signal they are going to pit by say, turning their lights on as they come onto the straight? It's a very dangerous pit lane entry as it's on the racing line, and it will at least let people behind know to move right. I nearly crashed in the GT2 race and Backo showed how dodgey it is! Grin
  • Does anyone know where to engage the limiter on this track? In the test race I did it miles too early, and a bit late in yesterdays GT2 race......still can't get formation laps right!

Really hope it's wet for this one.  Cool

Try driving backwards from the line with the limiter on and see where you are after 20 seconds...

I thought the formation lap went very well last night, perhaps the Silverstone report has made people go and remind themselves what the proper procedure is?

anyone got a reasonable data as to GTC times for this please?

I see GT2's were around 32..33's and GT3 was around 36's so I would assume perhaps 34's 35's ?

I was doing low 35's in the Fezza 360, before I realised it was a wet race I was practicing for Roll Eyes, but will be in the Vertigo for this and as I have a very busy week so wont be able to do much praccy.

cheers  Smiley

It's right where the lights are as you enter the pits, which are after the fast kink into the pits and not long before the garages start. You can always tell where the line is if you try it using a non-cockpit view because for some reason the game forces you into the cockpit where the line is so it's easy to work out that way.

Nice 1 Dave, that's a gd idea! I'll give it a try some time.

What do you lot think about switching lights on as you exit the last corner when you are about to pit? It's easy when team members are around you (teamspeak) but not when they are from other teams. It'd at least give a warning before you brake on the racing line.

You can see in my pitstop in the GT2 race, I had to go in very fast because I was worried Morten would not expect me pitting and could run into me! Not his fault at all, but I had no way of warning him or any others that I was about to slam on the brakes right in front of him....and nearly hit the pit wall Grin

You could just map 'Pit In' to one of your buttons in the same way most people use 'pit out'- if the other guy isn't running with in-car text then that's his problem!

Well...it's his problem until he runs into you, then it's your problem too....

Just a suggestion, gd pooint though, I'll map pit-in to my wheel.

Does anyone know how to map the ts button on the G25's shifter? I can only get my keyboard to register on it.

I use JoyToKey to map the clutch pedal to a key for TeamSpeak so a button should be a doddle. Cheesy

Love to tell you Stew, but all the test race info seems to have dissapeared?  Huh  I think a good race pace is in the 30's or 29's but don't quote me on it.

A few laps of pracci and the MC12 felt good and competitive (?) at mid 27 for a quali lap, all was good. Now see rain is forecast for Sunday and I'm now dreading it :'( I can see a good quali followed by a pants race again.
