Grats podium.

Was anyone else suffering strange graphics glitches or was it just me?  I am having some problems but thought that I had got the better of them.

Was the 3/84,3/384 a bit rich for the full server?

I was chucked out once near the end of qually and didn't dare venture back onto the track in the last few minutes in case it happened again.

At one point the two card in front of me disappeared but only that once.

There was a Honda dissapearing in front of me at one point but that was about it. I watched a bit of the replay and I seem to have virtually all the cars visible on my client replay. What was the server set to?

I enjoyed the race apart from being taken out at the start when Syd clipped Kruger. Apologese once again to Chris Bull, who I clipped on the last lap when I slipstreamed him down the back straight. I think a few people ran in to the back of others from what I have seen on the replay.

How the hell Paul got a 246 round in the 1.34's I'll never know! Although I think there even some 1.33's at GPL Rank.

Hi All,
Great race tonight Smiley Had a nice scrap with brendan for a good few laps, he eventually got the better of me after I came off. I managed to hold 6th place until the last lap and then I was off again, and then again! Sad Ended up finishing 11th.

These race do seem to be quite short as they are fun races, How would people feel about making them int long?

Also you can download the replay and see the results of all the fun races at http://www.avyo18.dsl.pipex.com

Take it easy all.

LOL

We don't need the server replay Chris.  With the server set on 3/384 we have all the cars on our client replays.

I think that if it is set to 3/84,3/132 then we will see enough cars for racing but will also ease the burden on the client's bandwidth.

Thanks for the fun guys, I'm not used to having to qualify on a "Full" track, so working out some space to have a clean run took a while. When Paul took the laed after I spun at the Hairpin, he was getting more and more sideways with every lap Smiley, eventually tripping up at Dingle Dell with 2 laps to go.  Very intense racing, could my nerves stand a Int Long race ?? Well they possibly have more chance that Paul's rear tyres mind you Cheesy

Really enjoyed this race and if I could only find another tenth or two per lap I could maybe just have stolen this race when Paul and Mike tripped over each other on the last lap Cheesy Something I had been praying for  lol.

However they were just a bit too quick and Mike at least was away from the scene of the crime before I got there and drifted gracefully past a stranded Paul with a huge grin on my face. Grin

I had the privelege of watching those two dicing throughout the whole race from the cockpit of my baby Eagle and at times it looked very close , especially when Mike regained the lead from paul mid way through the race lol.
Although (by rank) I should have taken the Lotus 43 BRM 3 litre monster, I had several attempts at running that beast without any consitency and had plumped for the Eaglet which was rated slower, but which I knew handled better.

I think I would like to do longer races , but i'm not sure my nerves would stand it  lol.
Thanks again guys for organising such great fun, I think on the basis of what we have seen so far the 66's are going to be a very popular format with full grids. I can even see us needing a two divisions to accommodate all the entries??

The guys in the little Eagles were shifting too. I must look at the replays and see where I'm loosing time.

I guess all the cars being present slowed down FPS a bit.....

But i always think the more cars viewable the better... If those at the back couldnt see the mayhem at T1, they would have all gone in a lot quicker.... Cheesy

And anyway, the start is about getting away safely, not trying to riskily gain positions.... So whatever the frame rate, seeing lots of cars can only help... And passing is what all the other laps are for Wink

I'm all through with "fun" races - there was a striking resemblance to VROC pickup race, which I stopped doing a while ago.

So, I better stick to league races only.

Sorry to hear that Kruger.  Sad

I suppose being a 'fun' race, people have a slightly more relaxed approach to the proceeding, perhaps taking more risks than they normally would in a league race.

I had a great battle with Bully for the first half of the race and managed to get a better run down the back straight to pass him.  From there it was more like a hotlapping session than a race and I managed to snaffle a new PB near the end.  Cool

One point of interest: The race results show I was in the Lotus 43 when I was in the 33 BRM so I hope no-one thinks there was any cheating going on  Wink
