Click here to see the team management pages.

The process is totally automated and allows teams and drivers to manage themselves without help from the administrative team.

Membership of a team for championship purposes is done strictly according to the use of this system; drivers will not score points for races started before completing the registration process.

How do I make a new team?

Go to the page listed above, enter a team name, and click "Create new team". You will be prompted for the name of the team, but you can edit this later. You will not automatically join the team, but will instead be invited to do so. This is so that you don't have to leave any existing teams if you're creating a new one for a different championship.

How can other people join my team?

Any member of a team can use the "Allow to join" feature to allow another member to join; usually you will have discussed team membership beforehand. Once you have selected the member name and pressed the Allow button, a PM will be sent to the member asking them to join. And then...

I have been invited to join a team. How do I do so?

Go to the page listed above (or click the link in the PM you have received); you should see the team shown, along with a "Join" button. Press the button. Any previous team membership for the select group of events (usually "all") will be cancelled, but points scored will remain with the previous team.

I want to be a privateer again

Go to the Team Management page and press the appropriate "Leave" button. Points scored previously remain with the team.

Can I be a member of different teams in different championships?

Yes. For any team of which you are a member, you can change the group you're membership is associated with from "(all)" to something more specific, eg. "UKGTL". If you need several membership records, eg. if you drive for different teams in UKGTL, UKGTR Sprint, and UKGTR Endurance, you can invite yourself to join the team again.

How can I see who belongs to what team?

Click here (or select Teams from the main website navigation strip).

I'm also thinking of setting up a team, but I'm not really that bothered about scoring points, etc. I'm more interested in helping some of the less experienced drivers to improve, so if you feel you fit into that category and fancy joining a team to get some feedback and advice then pls get in contact.

I dont want to create a team, but if anyones looking for a Lister driver to add to their team, give me a call. I drive in WOSEC team championship and love it.

Dave, perhaps a 'Drivers market' thread could be started so guys can advertise there willingness to be on a team.

That is, as you correctly surmise, the implication of "You will be the only member of the new team". Wink

Has a decision been made as to the numbers per team?

Cheers

There is no systematic limit in place but only the top two (in class, where appropriate) from each team score championship points. Hopefully the prospect of having most of your drivers not score anything will stop excessive numbers of drivers joining a single team.
