Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 185s

Sandor is following a BMW closely at the main straight. This blocks his view and that probably caused him to miss his braking point.
He then overshoots and collects Ade hard. Ade then slides into the wall and loses a lot of places.
It didn't look like Sandor was trying to overtake Ade, but still it was avoidable and because it was early in the race, the damage to Ade was severe.

Server replay time: 232s

Wiltshire Tony rejoins the track in the twisty bits. He does that off the racing line, but soon comes onto the racing line again. His speed is still slow 'cause of the off, this causes Alex to slightly nudge him, which cause Tony to spin.
This incident was a avoidable for both drivers. Tony should have rejoined in a safer way, and Alex might have been able to avoid the contact. Because of that, there will be no penalties for this.

  • Alex vV (Alex v Veldhoven)warning — Rear end contact
For advice only - unreported by victim, so penalty disregarded
  • Wiltshire Tonywarning — Dangerous rejoin
For advice only - unreported by victim, so penalty disregarded

Server replay time: 620s

Psuedo rearends Alex, spinning him around. The following cars can't avoid the spinning cars, and drive into them.
This wasn't reported by Alex, which would have cancelled the penalty, but it was reported by the following drivers who were caught out.
So eventhough the first victim didn't report it, it still gets a penalty because the other victims did.

  • psuedopenalty — Rear end shunt — 2 places lost

Gotta disagree with you Jeff about the Escort, I always found it to have quite sharp turn in, trouble is that Mexico really provokes understeer.  No other track like it for making your car feel like a barge.  Absolutely couldn't get the GT40 round here, ended up doing 55s and 56s, just the worst understeer ever.  Had an AI Elan diving all around me on the back section I was so slow.   Tongue

Beemer was quicker, but still couldn't quite break 1:50.  It's going to be an interesting race, lots of minor mistakes running wide on turn in I think, it's not my favourite track, but a nice choice for something different.  The big long banking is quite a laugh, a little bit of that oval track feeling.

i quite like the track after doing some initial test laps last night. Once you get into the rhythm a bit more, its got a good combination of twisties and flat out sections.
It will be a bit 'follow the leader' in the infield but errors will still allow drivers past no doubt and the more powerful cars (BMW) will gain via the straights on the time gained by the porkers in the twisty section. Should be an interesting contest.

1:50.0 for me in the 911 so far and only done a handful of laps so expect to break into 48/49 territory with more laps and tweaks.

Hmm, Porsche walkover this race Tongue. Within 2 laps I was over a sec quicker than the BMW  Roll Eyes, 46 low to 47 mid.

I will more than likely be in the 911 here tonight, although no practice as yet - not even driven this track - ever.
From the comments above, i'm not expecting great things from this race, but am still happy to be racing  Undecided Lips Sealed Tongue laugh

Gonna take the escort only one of the 4 im consistent in,  I think the track is alright ... the last few right lefts do get a bit teadius but there medium speed corners which makes it fun steering with the throttle. Got down to a 48.2 .
 c ya there.

Anyone else having trouble connecting to the server? I put the password in and it doesn't connect, just does nothing for a while then goes back to the lobby. :'(
Maybe something I need to set up for the router? Huh
