After much stressing to just get on server, I am delighted that I persevered. Nice gentlemanly battle with Phil (who was in a standard skin I think) to kick off proceedings. Sneaked past him and then began to think that chaps in front, by some 8 seconds, were well outta reach but amazingly I think I raced you all, apart from JR of course , at some point. Great fun with the struggling PR, wets you say , which allowed the flying Dan back up to us and he duly sped through as PR and I went side by side for 8 corners Fun and fair from you all, ace in fact. Shame to hear about some rough and tumble, something that always seems to happen in the 76'ers :'( Glad to see track has won over the majority and gotta thank Simon for recommending it. No need for JR to get out the stocks now Congrats to JR, Dan who did great considering his tangle and Keith for bringing home the GT40 Thx to backmarkers who made passing very easy, ta.

Thanks . Well it was mayhem out there, something that could have been expected with a track that is corner, corner, corner, corner . I see there is a free stocks next to me if you want SBG

how gutted am i ?!! Had great pace tonight and really had the Porker hooked up nicely. I was able to bang in a load of 47 and 48 laptimes and was really hoping for a podium place tonight. Got a reasonably good start and enjoyed an early dice with ginsters down to turn 1. Got past a few cars and caught Baracus after about 3 laps. My car seemed much quicker through the twisties and i was glued to him for a couple of laps looking for a way past. I got caught out down at T1 when the 911 was able to brake much much later than his Beemer and i unfortunately just tagged his rear causing us both to go off. Sorry about that Bara, i hope you could see how much later i could brake at that corner on the following laps when i kept gaining ground on you there. Bara got his revenge a lap or so later when, with me glued to his bumper, he got well out of shape near the end of the infield. I was certain he was going off for sure and so looked to keep going up the side but as his car came further round into a half spin, i had nowhere to go and had to throw it off the track to avoid contact, dropping from 3rd fight down to about 6th/7th :'( Then did the standard hot and bothered bit and dropped it about 3 times more when close behind others in corners when they got out of shape which gradually dropped me down to a lousy 9th. I kept fighting my way back up only to suffer the same fate behind someone tonight, dont know why but i seemed much quicker and stable than most in corners and suffered accordingly when forced to brake or change direction mid corner. Had a great race, really liked that track, just feels like a lost opportunity to grab a great finish I'll take some solace from setting the fastest race lap..cant believe i did a quicker lap than Jeff ! Well done to the pody guys

And sorry to Dan Minton too, I was trying to let a stream of front runners through but ran out of road as you went round me and couldn't go anywhere except your door.
Np mate cant even remember it...Had a great race , Had to slip the clutch for ages to get the thing of the line as i had to adjust the gear ratio so far up the revs so not to be redlining half way down the straight. Had agood battle with Bara for afew laps and finally got passed and was amazed how fast i was catching pR, once i caught him i realised why never seen a car with so much understeer. Sat glued to his bumper for about 10 laps then went off and Sbg got through . This left me a bout 4 secs back managed to catch up and ahad a great battle throught the lefts and right sorry for the tap Pr was not intententional . Got past and pulled wawy but Jr was 22 seconds ahead by this time . grats jeff and nice driving br the backmarkers not the easiest track to get out of the way on. Cheers

Yep, quite a successful outing Absolute amatuer hour, had it in neutral off the line, then after showing some reasonable pace and making up a few places, brain fade set in and saw me off into the boonies at the final turn after completely overcooking it. A few laps later I managed to drive into two sideways bimmers who were spinning at that same corner and then with majorly crooked steering followed my achievements by tapping Keith and putting a dent in my team mate's lovely new paint job. Sorry people, was a poor show. A few more offs saw multiple cut warnings and a very battered porker pull into the pits with a stop/go. All in all, a shambles of a return to the league but really well done to the podium chaps and everyone who kept it on the black stuff, that one was well earned. Roll on Porto and the greenies revenge.

I think I know what my problem might. Every time GTL gets to loading Phil Gilliland, it crashes. I guess I might be missing his car, but no clue how.
I haven't got any cars Syd. Don't know what it was. I tried at least 10 times to join. It always ended up the same, loads the track, starts loading drivers, gets to your name, and CTDs.

Think it is the lobby causing all these issues. Took me ages to connect to the practice server, like Tibs said, you'd put in the password and wait for a while and nothing happened. But exactly the same happened to me trying to join a passworded NoGrip race on Wednesday night. Multiple router restarts and finally in both cases was able to connect. Also had constantly reloading tracks on the practice server, no stability. That was sorted after an exit and router restart. I also had the CTD that Syd had when I first connected to the race server, after everyone had been loaded, bang, crash. A restart and this time I was in safely. So getting all these problems but still managing to get in it looks like just a very flaky lobby combined with particular connections having more problems I guess. Let's hope the lobby improves......

Whch router are you using? I'm using a Belkin 54G and I don't know if you need to configure the firewall to be able to get GTL to work. Tried from 7:00 till 9:00 to connect to the server, and it never worked. I could join the prodigy server but not the UKGTL one. Took me ages to connect to the practice server, like Tibs said, you'd put in the password and wait for a while and nothing happened. But exactly the same happened to me trying to join a passworded NoGrip race on Wednesday night.
Which would suggest to me that there's a bug with the lobby and passworded servers. Which would explain why I could connect to the prodigy server.

i've got a Belkin router and i had no problems at all with the GTL lobby or servers over the last couple of nights. And Will...shame on you! You should have refused to use that colour on the grounds of common decency and the mods shouldnt have allowed it in the skin pack ! , it would look more at home in Duke Nukem or banger racing !! The team responsible =

That was great fun! Qualified in 17th ! finished 10th !! Thanks to all those who spun out and had incidents in front of me! Much appreciated!! Managed to get through a 5 car pile up at one corner !! with no contact!! Just kept putting in 1.51's and watched everybody else loose their heads! Some great close battles with a few people. Excellent fun! Suprising as I really hated that track! M.
