Still....no matter how 'cwappy' they are on phyics and realism.....can anyone actually blame the developers?
They are ONLY there to make money...not make it 'good' for us dedicated sim-ites....bet this outsells any 'proper sim' by a long way. common sense really.
That's true, the majority of people don't have patience, and that's why the sim gaming market dies a slow horrible death (Flightsims being the first casualty) Trainsims died before flightsims. MS Train Sim 2 was being developed when they cancelled the entire thing. They'd even released screenshots. Oh, I was referencing the sims that were actually very popular for a bit. Flightsims Blew up in 1998 then died off just as quickly. Racing is the only thing that's still pacing forward, and probably will continue to pace forward slowly but surely. Sim games need that element of competition to survive in the mass market, and Racing is the only one that can supply that with minimal learning (We all don't have time to read an 800 page manual on how to fly an Apache Helicopter)

Well flightsims are still very popular. Can't imagine fewer fly them today than in 1998. You know MS has released 4 Flightsims since that, right? And others have released their flightsims, like X-plane or something.

Aye, but not as many of them are being made anymore, and the buying crowd is the hardcore one, and I can't see flightsims being able to branch back out to a new major purchase base.

You might be right, I have heard some people feeling that MS is going in the direction where they want to reach the masses, and consentrate less on realism.

Going way offtopic here, but the latest MS sim is indeed geared towards the casual gamers (though it is still a decent sim behind the arcade topping), and the latest X-Plane versions have been very popular too. It's almost like a comeback of sorts of the civilian flight sims, though still missing a few contenders from the nineties.
Military flight sims however have really been forgotten, I think this decade there's been just four or five titles worth mentioning, compared to dozens of sims we had ten years ago.

If only the game was as good as the videos and trailers (on both counts!)

Great game, great graphics, great handling for an arcade. Only thing I dislike is the city racing.

Visually stunning Can't stand playing it tho And the Cockpit view always has you looking to far down, it's disorienting. I want a Company serious about race sims to get a hold of this graphic engine tho

After trying the BMW I stopped playing it. The Mustang was fine, but the BMW was too sensitive on the steering and it steered with the rear wheels.
