Lost sounds

It appears I've lost some soumds in Race 07

I can hear the road noises and skid sounds but the engine sound is very faint.

I've adjusted all the right levels but no luck

I thought I'd put in the sound file again but cant find it;

Any help please

PS All my other games are unaffected. When I run DXDIAG and test DirectSounds they are very faint.

I guess a fresh re-install of the whole game would be best, especially if you have the Steam version.
