Those laptimes are with a -45kg Lister, the Lister now is -5kg with Michelins, and for a hotlap it's worth more to have -45kg and Dunlops, than the other option, as Dunlops get up to temp quickly. Problem with Dunlops is making them last.

The lap times are for the lister with michelin tyres.     Cj suffered a couple of discos if I remember correctly and with last seasons ballast ended up very light.      No point of looking at lap records set by such a light car as they are impossible to achieve.

Ah yes you're right. I thought they were from the old ballastpack, but it was indeed how you described Smiley.

Is it fair to keep such a lap record as nobody will ever have such a low weight and any chance to challenge those times?      The best case scenario is now 40kg heavier and that is a massive difference.

It's simply not practical to have records which cover every possible scenario.

If you want a chance at the quali lap record, take the MC12 Wink Might be a bit tricky for 2 hours mind.

Trust this proves popular as its an interesting format. Hope its going strong by the time footy season ends and I have some free Saturdays.

Hmm, is it considered shameful to take what I gather is often called the noob-mobile, i.e. the F550? I think I want to do it still.

Although, the lambo does have a nice sound as well...hmm-ho, what am I to choose.

In this Super-Endurance series, can you choose a different car each race, or should I stick to the same car every race?

The F550 in the pack is balanced to be equal to other GT1 cars. It has less power than original and some weight, so using it won't make you look like a plonker, what the original F550 does Cheesy

You can take whatever you want. The F550 has it's own problems (dodgy handling), so you might be good in a straight line (although the UKGTR one has a tiny weeny bit less power than the original), but if you can't sort the setup out to be good round the corners it won't really be an advantage.

CR5 is quite good for "noobs" (and you might be a GTR 2 noob, but we know you're far from inexperienced when it comes to sim-racing), why not give that a go?

Same rules as the other series. One change is allowed per series before you get deductions to your points.

in GTR1 the Saleen was known as the n00b car, as it's so stable. In GTR2 it's also very easy to drive, just be carefull over bumps.

Probably the reason why FreQ is using the Saleen now...n00b  lol

Well, if I must reveal the reason and show why I call myself a noob  Cheesy,  it's that Huttu "released" a setup pack for the 550, but not for any other car. This pack mostly frees me from worrying about setups since I'm usually the type that adapts to the car, having failed at adapting the car to me. I've long wondered whether I'd come to enjoy making setups and adjustments if I really put some effort into learning more about it, or if it would always seem like extra work. So far ready made setups have mostly won out, they simply reduce the needed training time by so much.

However, for GTC I will be attempting to make my own Modena setups for the remainder of the season.

I didn't pick it for its "n00b" handling  laugh i picked it because it has the clearest view out of the window   Grin
