Any chance this could be a 40 minute race, or even an hour?

Hm, it clashes with my R2P last NGT race at Spa. I might drop in practice session just to see what happens.  Smiley

The main purpose of this race is to test the Suzuka track to ensure there are no obvious problems with the track running it online that I've not found in my own testing before we run it as an official event in the Super Endurance Series.

OK, its just that a 30 minute race is over pretty quickly and a longer race makes it feel more worthwhile turning up. Just thought I'd ask, but not a big problem if it can't be done.

An Elise race!

I'll be in this one! One of my favourite tracks too!

I have to say I would prefer it if it was a 40 minute race though. I've just got used to them. Embarrassed

Maybe up the fuelisage so people are forced to take a pitstop. That way you can check pitstop bugs, which are not very rare in add-on tracks Smiley.

Not a bad idea.

If it's 40 minutes with the Elise any idea what the fuel usage would be to know what to multiply it by in the server to force people to pit?

Good idea about the pitstop, I'll no doubt do a Nakajima and run my pit crew over in the process. Roll Eyes

Are the pitlocation the same in warmup as they are in race? If so, maybe have a manditory pit in during warmup to see where everyone is. So do your outlap, request pit in, stop at your stall and stay there. If it's already full, stop alongside Smiley.
Just an idea Smiley.

I'll test fuelusage.

Fuel usage is around 2.9L a lap with a pace of around 2:10. So that's around 14 laps and 40L for the whole race. So it should be atleast x3 to force a pitstop.

Or just let everyone make a manditory pitstop in lap 7 or 8, so it will be very crowded in the pitlane to check for double pitplaces.

The 2nd option might be best, because the grid won't be very big, and letting variable strategies take place you might not learn too much from this testrace Smiley.

Also please change the .GDB file, as the tyres of the Elise were overheating massively. 135 at the rear and 115 at the front, after 3 laps Shocked Shocked.

Thanks for the info, race details updated.

I will look into the GDB thing at the weekend to see if anything needs changing.

drove suzuka (offline) yesterday night.

few observations:

- AI is dumb and gets penalties all the time (cutting of some sort, I suspect chicane prior to pit entry)

- while going through 130R (PITA by itself anyway) I met a ghost of a passing car, came from the right, crossed the road and moved to the left. must be a shadow of a car on the other side of the track. very disturbing, you react instinctively, which is a baaaad thing while going through 130R

- mixed class passing will be insane - slower classes are extremely fast (compared to GT1) in the twisty bits

Love the track. Comes second to Spa only.
