Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 900s

Luke had just been passed by Steve and another car and was running close behind Steve into the final turn. He braked a little late and was off the racing line so couldn't slow enough to avoid running into the back of Steve and spinning him.
Luke has graciously appologised on the forum thread and obviously realises his error. However, the penalty will stand as it would have been more fitting to have given the place back to Steve, which Luke failed to do.

Server replay time: 1830s

Almost a carbon copy of the first incident....with the same result.

The short versions are great for Alfa racing in GTL  Grin
So much beautiful sliding/drifting around, which the Alfa excels at.

Maybe can be good with GTC65 too, but not so much TC76, so I'm guessing I won't like it much in GTR2 either. But we'll see.

Have to find some time to practice for SE Suzuka and UE-GTC Mugello first though, it'll be a while before I get to try out Anderstorp in GTR.

This track is just like Brno, boring to hotlap, but brilliant for racing. The constant 90 degree corners, followed by straights is not the most creative of designs, but it makes for very good battles and lots of overtaking opporunities. I've also had many a brilliant race at Brno or Anderstorp.

'Cause either short version is a crash-fest in GTR2mobiles.

I am so sorry. Something lagged just before start and I accidentally hit car in front of me and damaged aerodynamics. I couldn't control my car anymore and I had several contacts with another cars. So I retired not to make more accidents.

Line dropped at 21:15. Angry I thought with the switch to IDNet I was past the days of having to bounce the router before a race. Undecided

Ran out of talent after Quali ('cause qualifying 2nd last takes a lot of it! Cheesy).

Managed to give someone a tap on Warmup Lap, the nature of online gaming meant a tap at my end was a decent enough hit to make him spear off, waited and let him back in front - but he went off again at the banked turn around halfway round the lap!

Apologies to whoever that was!

Setup killed rears pretty quick and it became quite undriveable, especially after I hit the tyres on the exit of the final turn, got a puncture and knocked off my rear wing...had to retire halfway round the next lap as there was no way I was getting back to the pits without hitting someone! (Managed to avoid it until then, but chose not to risk it anymore!)

Nah - my connections screwed Sad

Kept getting booted and when I got back into lobby it would only draw a bit of the list, then the rest appeared a while later. Something's not right. When I did get in eventually, everyone was lagging for me too this time so I left.

I phoned nildram and they say that I haven't been migrated yet, nothing has changed their end and he can see that im getting 4mbs and not getting disconnects too often. I said its not that its disconnecting, its just slow, but he said the line looks OK. Strange how its been rock solid for many years until this last week!

He wants to see a traceroute and ping to the GTR2 server but I told him I don't think I can get that info as its hard-coded into the game.

I know thats not the problem, but they wont investigate this until they have something to look at.

I told him that another online game I play has also been laggy the last week or so, so it must be my end or ISP end but you know what tech support are like at listening!!

Anyway, does anyone know how I can find the IP address of the lobby/game server for GTR2 and GTL please?

Pretty flippin' annoyed at being spun round twice in the same place by the same driver.  I await the replay to make comment.  Tongue

For once I actually had concentration on my side on a track I know well.  Oh well, roll on Barcelona, I've never raced there before.   Sad

What a snooze fest.

Going from left to right as far as possible on the runway was as close as I got to having any fun.
