I've been Mr NoShow in GTL for a while, despite wishful statements to the contrary, and it seems that will happen here too. Hate to miss out on this one, as I love the track and think the Fezza would be a hoot here.

Can I remind everyone that this track is a bit of a fps hog. We recommend that you try a test tun with full grid and the time setting given earlier before the race next Thursday.

If anyone is having fps issues despite some careful tweaking, with which it runs pretty well on my old machine, then we will change starting times of race to help. No need to post here and bear the wrath of the romantics amongst us Wink, just pm Pseudo or I. We certainly do not want to hear complaints after the event.

Really looking forward to driving the Healey for this Smiley A great match.

Please remember also that due to the difficulties encountered in making the Ferrari 250 available, the server has to be set to allow ALL cars from the GTC=65 class.

Please make sure you check which cars are actually going to be allowed for the race....it would be a shame to do all your practice in a GT-40 only to be removed from the game on race day  Wink

Dont you just have to make the Ferrari 275 available to be able choose the 250?

Looks like we will have a good spread of cars, at least I hope we do.  I'm in the Merc, gotta love the slow ol' thing, down to about 2:27 so far!  But what is it with the hairdryer whoosh as you lift off?   Cheesy   Trouble is its about 3-3.5s a lap slower than the E-type and Vette (and 275 not far behind).  So hoping there will be some Healeys and GT350s to have a good dice with.

I take it we are taking the liberal approach to the chicane (like before) and allowing use of the concrete?

Had a chance for my first full Enduro this week, however the old lady is leaving for Poland for one month on the 26th, so I'm spending this week with her and won't be able to attend the race.

Have fun all

any inkling of what most folks are running at this event? I want to be in a good race with similar cars pacewise so not yet made up my mind what i am driving.
At present i am quickest in the E-Type, followed by 250GTO, then Healey but dont want to find myself in a car quicker than most others but still be slower than the usual aliens up front. Roll Eyes
...tho i note, Steve's quicker than me in his slow old Merc at the moment!  Embarrassed Cheesy

Should be a cool spread of cars on a good track layout  Cool

Hi all,
Quickest in the Vette but tyres won't last !!
Gonna do the F275 thing!
Gonna be slow as usual!!
Can I admit to hating this track! Just can't get my head round it!
Add horrible cars to the mix and I'm struggling!

Also on the frame rate issue...
I drop to a low of 15 between turns 1 and 2 !? Just about ok to use!
Any top tips for minor tweeks to the setiings!? to speed up!?
Thought I had a good graphics card! Smiley

Just had a go with the Healey to check on the frame rate and it  drops to 20 fps at T1 when starting from the back of the grid, then settles down to 40/50ish. thats with two 256MB 7600 gt's SLI.

how come this track has a frame rate hit? i thought it was one of simbins pre-packaged tracks with GTL  Undecided

I havent noticed any noticeable drop in frames so far nor at any previous online race ive had here. (7800GT card).

Have narrowed my car choice down to E-Type or Healey for this one. At the moment i am 5 secs a lap quicker in the E-Type  Shocked but thats mainly down to lack of track time with a Healey.

Unfortunately one or two places in the standard tracks really tax the PC, never understood why.  The s/f straight here always seems particularly bad, although I'm steady above 60 all the way round in offline practice.  Might be worth turning down circuit detail and trackside characters if you get a slowdown there, apart from generally reducing detail.  Then there's the looong left hander at Magny, between the two fast chicanes, that's a real chugger too!  Simbin failed to properly optimize the tracks in GTL, bless 'em.   Wink

Nurburgring and Mondello are both very bad optimized tracks. I also suffer from framedrops, and that's with a 8800GTX. But I think it's the CPU causing problems, as the game is heavy on CPU, and doesn't use dual cores IIRC.

I'm a few sec slower in the Vette than in the Daytona for now Smiley.
