Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 316s

JPS starts wide and cuts across, and slams, both Sandow and Will into Stowe. They had effectively passed him and are in front by this point. JPS explains that he didn't see them due to technical problems and this is exactly how it looks, so we have no reason to doubt him.

We would expect drivers to end their race if they have any inkling of technical issues that could affect others. However, this was JPS's first GTL race and he was simply not aware that this was the case. Therefore no penalty is warranted.

  • JPS (JPS1)advice — Leave the race if you realise you are experiencing technical problems.

No worries JPS look forward to seeing you Thursday.

After some extensive testing, I've still not found a 76 car I get Huh I'm jiggered if I can get the hang of any of this choice. Saying that, the Vette I kinda understand as an understeery beast, that needs to be pointing in the right direction early which sounds easy but its a lot easier to say than do Wink

Half way to understanding the Vette is the best I'm gonna get by Thursday. Despite all that and the fact I'm way off the pace its an absolute blast this kamikaze lark Smiley

Any chance somebody could take a look at this just in case we have server issues?

They'll have to watch out for low flying PC's below if I can't get on the server again tonight as its going out of the Window.

Are you still suffering those "time out" symptons Oily? Touch wood that problem hasn't plagued me recently.

Remember, issues last week were all track/ginsters related  Wink This track has been pretty extensively tested but if anyone knows of any issues please let us know.

Brain/ keyboard link a bit below par this morn....it's this damn day job...so distracting. The link I meant to give you was - http://www.nogripracing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=22810

I've been having grief for weeks SBG, just that last week you all experienced the same thing for a bit! That was obviously due to the track capacity issues but even when they were resolved I couldn't get in to Zolder. Can normally get in during practice but then I get kicked permanently...almost as others join.

Anyway I've got something to try this eve thanks to Joel at NoGrip. If anyone struggles, you might also want to make a note that the solution could be to renew your local IP address, apparently this clears the problem 99% of the time.

START > RUN > ipconfig /renew

I know this specific issue doesn't affect many but the lobby's been sketchy of late too so I thought it would be good to have a direct IP backup option....if its practical. Also gives me another chance if that IP renew thing is no good!!  Grin

That sort of direct ip thingy is above my level of competence..... Wink....that stuff would need looking at by a much higher authority.

Yeah no worries Psuedo, i'm not totally clear either. It sounds like its something we'll all have to do on our machines individually but I have a feeling you might need to untick "broadcast to lobby" when you boot the server.

Definitely not confident but there are a fair few verifying that it works. Any higher authorities in the place?  I Am Not Worthy
