But with soccer you see 22 men chase a ball for 90 minutes  Grin

Not that I'm defending football, but, as opposed to 22 men yanking their gear sticks round the same bit of tarmac for 2 hours? Tongue

No one can see me can they?? shifty  Where have you hidden the webcams then?

Lovely race, had a bit of fighting with everyone around me at the start and then I slowly catching up with Darren, which was pretty fun to chase, but then I misbraked 2 times so I had to rechase it all over again which takes so long... When I was finally nearing Darren again, Darren spun and so I could go past without a fight. In the background 2 other drivers were fighting for position (#4 and #5) and I could catch up pretty quickly because of that, but when I was finally near joining their battle the race was over... Shocked

Being a reserve, hope I managed to stay out of the way of the full time drivers.

TED sorry about my lights on the warm up lap, kept getting the wrong button, hope it didn't put you off.

Great battle with JPV, managed to take him just before the end, when a golden opportunity presented itself whilst he was being lapped.

Good fun, thanks for putting on the show Dave Shark.

Bit of a horrid race for me with a good result thanks to just plugging away. Weird graphics problem in qually left me with a flickering purple screen so I had to quit and reboot. Came back without enough time to qually properly so did a couple of laps with my race setup and managed a time good enough for only one spot lower than my original qually spot, so I was happy with that.

No real battles in the race although I was always in close proximity to someone, first Evert, then MJ, then the Ade/Pops Vertislow battle. Car felt horrible throughout, it just didn't want to turn, and after the Gillet battle was ended prematurely after Pops tangled with a lapped car I tried to put some pressure on Ade, but my tyres were shot and he drove a great final few laps to prevent me ever getting close enough to use my straight line speed advantage and steal 7th.

A somewhat mixed bag that one...

I was pleased with my pace considering I hadn't had a lot of practice due to holiday and it was shaping up for a barnstorming finish between Ade & I in the Verty's and a swiftly catching Dave in his Z but contact with a backmarker left me too many seconds down to catch up. Bit cheesed off really, it was a great battle with Ade, it would have been interesting to see how it would have ended!

I didn't understand it either  Undecided,I had to do some mistake when I changed gears down I think on straight line. I sow smoke behind the car (55%) and was too late for start to saving engine. Tongue

Todays lesson was when given a black flag for speeding in pit lane DO NOT stop at you pit stall! Then struggle to work out if i can just cancel out of the pit stop clipboard screen and just drive straight out. Sadly the ESC key is just too prominent, like a big red 'do not press' button which you will inevetably press, which i did.

Wasnt expecting to have to pit so didnt know where the pit speed line was, but damaging the front splitter just ruined the handling so decided to try and pit.

That was superb.

Held own for first 10/15 mins and then managed to start applying a little bit of pressure...it payed off when a mistake ahead gave a clear run giving a good oppertunity, which was siezed upon and taken in very good style.

Held on well till the half way point, but in the second half was constantly under extreem pressure from those not far behind. But by an amalgamation of luck and good professionalism, managed to thwart any attempts made and hang on in good style for the victory.

Got there in the end. Not exactly the Barca of a couple of months ago.    Good goal by Scholes, but barca were depending on an unfit Messi. Brilliant that he is, one man does not make a team. Can't see Henry lasting over there. He seems out his depth and not trying a leg.    The team seemed flat. Still that's a trip to moscow for utd. Not sure who i'd want in the final. I can't think of a positive reason to pick one over the other.

You do need to stop in your stall - but you have to select Stop and Go (or similar) on your pit board to serve it.

My first outing at a sprint race, very enjoyable  Smiley

Couldn't get the car to stay on the track in qualy, sorry to anybody who got put off by one of my many spins  Sad

TED sorry about my lights on the warm up lap, kept getting the wrong button, hope it didn't put you off.

np JPS, tbh I didn't notice, I was concentrating too hard on the road in front!  Wink

Different story in the race - seemed to have much more grip and didn't have much problem keeping the car going forward. Excellent battle with mvedrina, managing to get past around half way through. Eased off toward the end when I thought I wouldn't get caught, and very nearly did get caught Shocked
