well that was another closely fought race! With one eye on the championship in zacaris absence (that will be tt then!) i was pleased to qualify 2nd with tt in 5th. Race started at a hot pace and i tried to stay with rusky. The front 3 of us pulled away from the rest but as jeff pulled away i couldnt drop mark at all!

My car felt good but mark was faultless and kept me under constant pressure. After half way it was clear he was quicker for as soon as a small gap appeared while passing lapped cars he was quickly back on my tail. I pushed hard to stay ahead but my rears were fading fast. Eventually in the final few laps i got a big slide out of turn 1 and he was past. Great race mate sorry if i held you up. Its superb to have yet another close clean battle which is a testiment to this league and its drivers! Unfortunately for me tt also had a good race and finished behind me in 4th so its going to be tough in the last race in overtake him. Should be an exciting finish to the series! Congrats to jeff on another win and well done to teamie ade on a strong 7th place finish in the vertigo.

As i feared and expected, i had an awful race here.

I know this is mentioned countless times but my car was so 'completely' different to my offline practise it was ridiculous !
Only the evening before i was pumping in regular low-mid 1:09's with two different setups, one soft, one stiffer. But last night, those same setups felt awful. I had horrid understeer, really poor brakes and slow acceleration  Huh
Had a terrible qually as i wasted so many flying laps trying to get the damn car to stop at T1  Angry
To compound my misery, the fuel calc was so badly wrong in the race that i was carrying the equivalent of an endurance race fuel load in a tight little track. I still had 66 litres sloshing about onboard after 25 minutes  taz which would explain why the car felt fat, lazy and understeering  Roll Eyes  Not sure if i missed a post, but i thought the srouk mods were supposed to make us aware of any faults with tracks like this ?...or was it a bit of handy insider info for TS employees only?  Wink
I finished the race with 38litres onboard and i had only fueled for allegedly 45mins in the garage menu Sad

Race was a case of damage limitation for me as just didnt have the speed in the car to catch the guys in front. I kept a steady pace of 1:11's and picked off one or two cars early on but had to just try and keep station behind 8th and 9th for majority of race with DG doing likewise behind me. Two errors at T1 as the car refused to stop in time, allowed DG to scamper past and i grumbled all the way to the finish line in frustration. surrender

A quick note to the backmarker who tried to race me when i lapped him, your being lapped for a reason! It means the guy lapping is faster so dont try and outbrake him down the inside at T1. If i hadnt taken avoiding action i would have been t-boned off the track with only 2 laps remaining. I believe the same culprit nerfed Pops too?  Angry

A race to forget for me. It gave me the hump for the rest of the evening !  Grin

How long have you been racing GTR2? And you still believe the fuel estimates?!

Each car has pretty much fixed consumption per time, except at exceptionally fast or slow tracks. In GT1 (and the VCC! Shocked) my rule of thumb is 2 litres per minute, in GTC it's 1 litre per minute.

He is a Legend, his old brain must be unable to work it out for himself.  Kiss

Unfortunately a sad reflection of Britain's society today, blame anyone but yourself Undecided, or is that just a trait of Legends driver? Tongue

i thought the fuel estimates were supposed to be correct for 'stock' tracks so naturally when it read 45mins in my garage menu i assumed it to be correct.
For add-on tracks i do my own fuel calcs.

and we dont need your continual crap remarks after every post thanks Shark  Roll Eyes

in GTC it's 1 litre per minute.

How do you work that one out? If that was the case then all the GTCs would easily get through an endurance race without needing to refuel, but in reality they often need a splash more than 100L to get home in 83 minutes. If I relied on your forumla I'd run out of fuel in half the races in the RS, and that isn't the thirstiest GTC.

I said it was a rule of thumb. I don't drive those silly thirsty German things. Tongue

Interesting rule of thumb Shocked I'd expect it to err on the side of caution given that running out is a bit final in a race  death

Which GTCs other than the Vertigo manage to get anywhere near 1L per minute then?

i'm referring to the way you appear to follow around in various threads to add your flippant or derogatory remarks about 'Legends' or Porsches without actually adding anything to the relevant post

with regards to fuel, i must confess i ran out of time to try a race setup with full fuel for this event, or i may have noticed the considerable fuel discrepancy here. Poor prep = poor result  Embarrassed
Though as i said, i would have thought it reasonable for someone from 'da management' to mention the fuel problem.

No sweat DG, its all part of the inter team rivalry/needling that keeps up a healthy dose of competition  Kiss

Where would we be without a foe/arch rival team or driver to try and compete against?

Team shark just happen to be ours  Grin
