4am start - so that will be starting in the dark and racing into the dawn? That'll be interesting - I hope it doesn't rain! Shocked laugh

Yes, took me a while to narrow down the right start time, but the end of the race will be gorgeous if it's sunny. Really bright, blinding sunshine low on the horizon to make the end really tricky. Grin Tongue Estoril is not extremely dark in the night setting so it shouldn't be too difficult racing in the dark at the race start. By 5am it's light enough to even think about not using lights.

Had a go with race time setting offline and it does look great, sun up is going to be very challenging Shocked but using track IR i can block out the sun with door pillars and sit up high to block it out with the roof. may even put the visible steering wheel back on and hide behind that. This is going to be a good one thumbup2

Doubt very much that I will be taking part in this one.

I have never driven Estoril before and don't really have a lot of time to learn the track well enough to race in the light let alone in the dark.  Sad

Nasty! Get practising dude, maybe hassle Gazza for a setup Smiley Its a great track and the virtual start time is really going to make it interesting, the last few corners get very intense when you are pushing hard.

I have an issue with pit stops and hope someone can help. The second time I make a pit stop do I just get the fuel amount that I set for stop 2 in my setup or do I have to select it some how???

I ask because my fuel strategy is ignored, I just get the same amount of fuel that I put in for my previous stop every time I make a pit stop. I have tried using different cars (skinned and standard) and different tracks and changing the button that I use to request a pit stop but still the same fuel amount every time. Sad The only thing left that I can think of is reinstalling GTR2, just wondering if any one knows anything about this issue before I reinstall.

Thanks

My GUESS is that if you request the pit stop yourself it defaults to the last values you used in a stop and if you wait for them to tell you to come into the pits instead then it will give you what you have in your strategy. This is just a guess, as I always request stops myself and adjust whatever I need to at the time.

It's a shame it's not Estoril without that chicane, I like the track exept for that corner (fine for bikes, maybe, but not for GT cars!).  I'll do my best to make it anyway, not playing footy Saturdays now.

Thanks for the info mate:). I was thinking that i had a problem, good job you told me before i reinstalled for no reason Roll Eyes

It is a bit of a shame that GTR2 makes you wait for your fuel to run out in order to use different fuel amounts at pit stops.

Thanks again

I think this is wrong. For what I have seen in many races where I've made two pit stops, it doesn't matter the fuel amount you select for the second stop. In ALL the pitstops you make during the race (unless you change it in the board when you get to your pitstop spot) you will be added the same amount, which will be the one you select for the first pitstop Wink I guess it's a mistake from the game.

Would like to make it, but it's a twisty track that I don't know yet....best time I can manage in daylight is not as good as the GT2's times....I will join in, if everyone else takes a GTC  Wink.

Not been having the best of times in recent races and I feel I dont want to put in hours of wasted practice for another '2 corner' race.  Undecided Undecided Undecided

I seem to have a major problem once the sun appears - can't see a thing going into at least two corners, to the point where I simply fall off the track when racing from the hood view as usual. Switching to in-car helps but with my FOV I can't place the car properly and I'll be a hazard if I'm actually racing (or getting lapped by) anyone.

 Huh

Hope for clouds I guess!
