Moderator's Report

nsfast comes up to lap JPV at Coppice, it must have looked like JPV was leaving the door open but it was just a late turn in. nsfast, probably misinterpreting JPVs car positioning ducked down the inside very late, clipping and spinning JPV. Not really any need to try and lap entering the corner with the straight coming up, but to his credit nsfast clearly pauses before rejoining to let JPV stay ahead, while JPV does a neat 360 and carries straight on. Greater care needed when lapping.

Sorry, not saying I don't believe you, just don't understand. The 25 secs difference were for the stationary bit, not the entry/exit. Not turning the engine off won't have helped though. Did you spend long on the selection screen? That all counts too.

Even though I pressed the pit request button just after crossing the s/f line, my crew wasn't ready...  So are you saying I should request a pitstop even earlier?  I thought you have to request a stop on the lap you want to come in on, not on the previous lap..  Undecided

Did they actually say that they were ready for you? If there was somebody else in your stand when you did the request, it won't have worked - you have to get the acknowledgement (or at least see the blue light illuminate) for it to be effective.

Another good race there last night.  Good battle with TT for the first half of the race and everything was good until the disco but i wasnt alone as others got discos too.  I was tempted to go for a full tank from the start but it looked like it could be tight near the end (i always seem to use a bit more than whats needed for some reason) so i took half a tank and put more in at the pitstops.  After the pitstops Paul had a good lead and i dont think id have caught him.

Congrats to the winners and cheers to the folks behind the scenes Cool

Sorry I did not get there to see the season out - way too much work this weekend. Congratulations to all winners, podiums and champions during the season. Thank you to all drivers who make this league so fun to race in albeit nearer the back of the field than the front. I missed the chance to be the only GTC to score points in every round Sad
I look forward to trying to challenge a bit better next season - need to practice more - much, much more.

Just want to say well done to everyone who ran this season, A big 'We're not worthy'  I Am Not Worthy to all the podium finishers. A big thankyou to all the mods who make it all happen.

Interesting race last night, thought i'd tryout the TVR but it kinda didnt work out to well. Took a few laps to finally get some heat in the tyres and just couldnt keep up the pace not matter how hard i tried, and i was trying too hard as usual. Then it was a case of the GT1's coming round continously and letting them through. Trying to overtake round Craner curves through me a bit and it was safer to drive striaght across the grass as i was never going to turn in. And sorry to Psuedo for running you off at Mcleans, I was trying to wait and to let you through but you didnt go through!

Another mess of the pit stop, thinking the fuel on the clipboard was going to be added to what was already there, not what level was to be filled to. Was thinking of running full tanks and it could have worked! just wasnt brave enough.

One of my biggest problems is running on worn tyres due to my bad driving, and the TVR doesnt help as front and rear were wearing equally which meant i was struggling everywhere!

Well this break gives me chance to try learn more about setup and practise, practise, practise. Though i think a brain transplant would be the better option.

Hehe, I'm still there after 8 seasons.  Cheesy

You learn and improve quickly from the beginning. It's later that it becomes a bit tedious.  Wink
I learned a lot from the quicker drivers. I learned that even with Paul968 taking ballast he's a lot quicker than me.  Grin

Sorry Paul, I promise to show more commitment next season!  Grin I am currently taking a small break from packing before I leave for Tahiti tomorrow morning  Kiss  The wedding went well yesterday we both had a great time. I ribboned up the TVR for the church which looked great until some dozey bloke (not of our wedding) reversed into the front wing at the hotel car park.... Roll Eyes Its a bit of a mess but just cosmetic (nice cracks in the fibreglass) but he was very sorry and it will be sorted by his insurance. Cant imagine it will be cheap though! However we had such a nice day it didn't matter at all! See you all on track when I am back (with a tan!).

Thanks again to all the peeps for the effort that goes into this league.

Great championship, i loved every minute of it Smiley

I have learnt so much about GTR2, setting up, pit stops, tyre life etc. And it is all thanks to the UKGTR races and forum. Full respect to all drivers and people that help out in the forums. My GTR skills and love of sim racing have grown massively as a result. Thank you all very much, I cant wait to race you all in the next season Smiley

I really hope we have GT1 enduro next season.

Thanks for excellent organisation and amazing standard of sportsmanship, UKGTR rules punk
