Oh well, gotta admit these super-long races are definitely not for me, not even half distance and my bum was hurting on the chair. No way I could last. And all these tyre options really suck! Car was much nicer on slicks in the wet, was only losing a little bit to HAL9000 on them after everyone had pitted for some other tyre. They seemed to be getting worn or perhaps rain was heavier, so I pitted for inters, but they were just terrible, so I soon had to put for soft wets. They seemed okay although maybe soft slicks would have been nicer, the cars handle really nicely on slicks in the wet - don't understand that. In fact I have no idea what tyre is for what really. Anyway it was just turning into an extended test session that I was ceasing to enjoy. Too long a race for me for sure. Hope everyone lasted better than me.

Ho hum. I opted to radically change my setup just before the race as it was so sucky in qually and lucky for me it was to go from 1-3 wing to 2-6 wing. Which was good cause when the rain came the car was better with the extra wing. I was finding it very hard in the damp conditions, but seemed to be the fastest man on track. I had made it up to 2nd position and as I was chatting to Gizmo on TeamSpeak I made a completely stupid mistake. I was pelting up the start finish straight and I looked right at Steve Holmes who was pitting at the time. Unfortunately I had drifted toward the pit wall and as I scraped it ever so gently, the game's excellent collision detection system vicously smashed my car in the other direction and against the opposite wall ripping off my wheel I think and certainly killing my engine. Still on the server now watching the race where it's now monsoon conditions and getting quite dark as the sun has set. There are only 4 brave souls left battling it out for the final race win. Another poor turnout I think seals the fate for the Super Endurance series. Thanks to all those that have raced this season, this was mainly a race to forget for me. I don't think my 8th position is enough for the title, so well done Jeff, I didn't deserve it anyway!

Wondeerd what you had got up to simon as it was a weird place to have an accident.....Race for me was ok , was enjoying the conditions and trying to be as smooth as possible. Ended up blowing the motor so watched dave and Gazza having a great battle for about 15 mins was good to watch .

I don't think my 8th position is enough for the title, so well done Jeff, I didn't deserve it anyway! If your 8th you'll have 200 points as well, and then the stupid "more attendences" rule come into play so that makes you the champwinner.

I found myself with a free Saturday afternoon so I downloaded the track with just 15 minutes to official praccy. It's quite nice and in the wet as well, even if I struggled again with fps on those conditions... The start was eventful. I made some overtakes but also had some mistakes. Sorry Pseudo (I saw you complained about my move with your headlights), but we were side by side and I even got to the grass to make sure there was no contact.. sorry anyway Then the rain came, I was first to pit with Dave and leapfrogged him, but more mistakes specially in the long long right hander cost me big time. That was inters at the first stop but they were soon not working for so much water so pitted early a 2nd time for hard wets. When everybody else pitted I was few seconds before the 2nd-3rd-4th-5th group, but I decided to give up with my problems. Hope the remaining people are having a good race

Well done to the 3 finishers btw! Yes only 3 made it to the end. Gizmo winning! Yee haaw! I watched till the end with Gizmo driving at about 60% pace for the last 45 minutes conserving fuel so he didn't have to make another stop, LOL. Lucky for him HAL kept making mistakes otherwise it would have been 2nd. I think ultimately he'd have been better off going at "full" speed and pitting to get more fuel, but his strategy paid off in the end handing him the victory in the dark and miserable weather.

That was so much hard work.....but I loved it Mixed feelings....a podium finish.....but I was still last Had a sneaky feeling we may have rain today, so went with an 2 - 8 wing config...back end was working great with it, but when the Monsoon hit the front gave up wanting to turn and I ended up fighting it all the way. Dave and myself must have had the same strategy, I left it as late as I dared on slicks after the rain came and when I did pit for soft wets filled the tank to the brim aswell. I reckoned that if the rain stayed (and it didn't look like clearing) I would maybe just get home with one more stop. Took my second stop with 1 ltr of fuel left and simply short shifted for the entire 3rd stint to try conserve the refill to the end. for the last 15 ish laps I was watching the time between the three of us left in closing up steadily and thinking to myself 'Dave will pit this lap, Dave will pit this lap, Dave will pit this lap.' but no....'Dave didn't pit ANY lap' He must have been going round in 6th gear to save that much juice. Congrats to Simon on the champ win. And to Team Shark for the title. A very big thanks to Simon too for putting this series together...it has been my favourite from S 7 here. It really would be a great shame if the super e has to end through lack of numbers, Imo the day/time has been the biggest culprit.....I would love to see it continue on a better time slot....SO FOR EVERYONE THAT HASN'T TRIED/BEEN ABLE TO TRY IT YET.....PLEASE TURN UP FOR THE TEST RACE.....

Replay and results now up. Shark is da champion! Sorry, JR, terrible luck to lose it on attendance but dem's da rules. That was completely crackers - I really didn't have good pace but what I lacked in talent I just about made up for in consistency and experience. I figured there was a good chance the full race would be dry so went with 1/4 wing - silly boy. As soon as the rain started I was slithering about with tyre temps dropping like a stone, so I pitted almost immediately for soft wet fronts and hard wet rears. Still didn't really have good pace and with the rain getting worse I was struggling to get tyre temps up to 60 at either end. Pitting so early meant I had to drive with half an eye on fuel consumption. Even so, I had to pit with over an hour left - a huge stretch in the Lambo if I wasn't to stop again. Luckily I had some practice at a previous round driving the Lambo in maximum fuel conservation mode and Hal's almost constant mistakes meant I could really extend the car's range without losing the lead. I even had enough left at the end to do another lap had I not timed the start of my final revolution correctly. Comedy moment of the race was Gazza getting a massive run on me out of the last corner, and then pulling out of the draft far too aggressively, smashing into the pit wall on the right and then the other wall on the left. Bad luck, you were miles quicker than me but presumably needed a splash and dash at the end? Would've been interesting... Was really atmospheric driving into the fading light with the rain pouring down - if only we had some proper monsoon tyres available! Well done Hal and Bob for finishing - talk about a race of attrition! A great way to end Season 7 and my first win for over 6 months. And Lambo win the manufacturers - hurrah!

Was getting eaten up on the straights in the dry and now i see why, i had a higher wing than the top few but as the rain came it really helped. Went in for hard wets when most others changed tyres, they worked well and was doing quick times, then the rain got harder and track became very wet right at a good time as i was pitting anyway. Went for soft wets and was 10 secs behind Dave but caught him within 1 or 2 laps. I was quicker but was really hard following in the spray and judging braking points. Got a good run on him up the finishing straight but i moved out of his slipstream to quick and i found myself scraping along the pitwall, not a big problem i thought just get off the wall and go again but think i had similar thing to simon when the car suddenly smashed against some invisible thing and killed just about everything. Grats to the three that finished. Special grats to Simon on the championship Thanks to everyone involved in putting this series on, this has been my fav one this season and would be a real shame to see it go

Wow, what a race Qualified well and was looking forward to a nice dry race RM was crazy fast and it was a damn shame that his PC crashed. I saw a little lag from your car RM just before you went so I was ready for your car to stop dead in front of me, which it did but I lost very little time and I did not hit your car. After that I was thinking I have got it in the bag, LOL, wrong! I noticed black clouds way before I was due for my first pit stop window which was a very small window for a 2 stop race. It started to rain HARD and I had to come in early changing to a 3 stop race. In the next stint I was trying to calculate if I could still make only 2 stops as the fuel consumption was down in the wet. I figured that I would be about 20L to short which was too much to conserve by slow driving I thought. After a while the rain got harder and I had to come in early again to change to soft wets as my hard wets were all cold as ice. This meant that it was definitely a 3 stop race now. After the 3rd stop Dave had a big lead but I was catching him to start with but the rain got REALLY HEAVY. and Hal's almost constant mistakes
LOL, yes indeed. I was all over the place and having a big problem staying on the road towards the end. My 2-4 wing and the fact that I was faster as Dave was saving fuel meant that I could smell victory but it effected my ability to stay calm. I believe that I could have taken Dave in the championship if I could get 1st today which did not help my nerve. I fell off many times and Psudeo was close at the end as well which added to the pressure. My soft wets were all Blue on the XD HUD at the end and my setup was as bad as my driving in the wet I did also think that if I caught Dave I would never be able to make a move without binning it because I was on a fine line as it was. Anyway a great race and My best result so far, Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy SE was the best championship IMO. We had it all, Sunset, sunrise, wet, dry, multiple pit stops and some great racing not to mention an awesome track list. Thanks for putting this one on and I do think that it would be a shame to loose the SE (give it another try at a different time slot or something, go on, you know you want to ) Thanks to all drivers and organisers and congrats to Dave and Psuedo (how difficult was that today?) and the championship podium. Don't understand how I'm tied for the championship win as I had my usual 10kg voluntary ballast, but it's not showing up in the results and no extra point to see me clear of that slow-coach Jeff ? Have to say I agree this is my favourite championship (and nothing to do with winning it), but we need more numbers. I think this was the lowest attendance so far (12) and the highest we had was 18 twice, but we need 20+ every race really. Trouble with the race day/time is that Sunday is booked and week nights I don't believe will be well attended because people get home at different times from work and some have earlier starts than others and therefore taking 3 hours in your evening is a bit tricky. Not sure it's all about the day/time anyway as I'm not sure how popular this length really is deep down. Many show an interest, but when it comes down to it don't actually want to do a solid 2 hours+ of racing.

We didn't run GTR2Manager yesterday, so no ballasts were generated. An omission on my part but it has resolved itself correctly.

Sorry Pseudo (I saw you complained about my move with your headlights), but we were side by side and I even got to the grass to make sure there was no contact.. sorry anyway no problem Busi, You were right in my blind spot and I thought your were tucking in behind and clipped my rear. Appologies for the 'flash', first lap contacts always frustrate me, especially in such long races.
