Sandor runs into the gravel and spins the car when he regains the track. He ends up broadside on the track just off the racing line. Sandor starts to get going at the exact moment sbg appears over the brow, and with Sandor filling the racing line sbg cannot avoid and they collide.

Pretty marginal, Sandor may well have checked the track before he started moving, and sbg was barely visible, but he would have been clearly audible and Sandor should have hit the brakes when he heard him, leaving space for sbg to pass. However, since it was a hard angle to check and sbg was barely visible when Sandor started moving, only 1 place lost.

AMENDED - sbg didn't want any penalty applied (but didn't tick the no penalty box) so now reduced to warning.

Sorry all, looks like I was lagging badly and caused you all a few issues!?
Can't grovel enough!?  Embarrassed
I wasn't sure what was going on ? with game re-syncs often!?
Never had that before!?
Only thing I can put it down to is my online back up had kicked in when I exitted the game.
Upload speeds are minimal , 25kb/s !? but it must have made the difference!?
Will thump it with a big hammer and plead for all your forgiveness?

Sorry all  Embarrassed

Was totally off the pace with the mark II, but somehow finished 13th  Huh

Well, there were only 14 people on track at the end and I was the one behind you  Grin

Had a fun race with a few minor mistakes and 1 major error. Blocked the the track after a fast corner what causes a problem for an other driver.
He could't avoid me anymore ......
Sorry for the trouble .  Up to the next one

Saw lots of oppurtunities for a good race but never got into much fun tonight :'(

Following TT and Tinman who were having a great battle but despite pushing desperately couldn't join them. Tried pitting early and jumped the unlucky Tinman and was catching TT a little until my big shunt. Thought it was hard driving a Falcon around here but its nothing compared to driving a badly broken (think deathstar at beginning of empire strikes back) Falcon and to top it all I ran low on gas and had to pit for a refuel. Respectable finish gone  Smiley

Ta to Pseudo for some fun there and congrats to Bara, Sooty and PR, good to have you back.

The start of the race threw me off because the last thing in the chat window was "Rolling" By Parle and I was confused as to if this was a rolling start or not. I lost 3 places off the bat dropping to 13th which unfortunately put me behind Blunder who I had to drive behind in Quali. The downside to this is that his lag was rubber banding him so bad it was ruining my line as I had to make adjustments to avoid his car (As well as two occasions when he lagged right into my position launching me into mid air and caused me two off track explorations Sad ), then he rubber bands way in front again. Followed in persuit for a couple of laps then I saw some smoke with a frozen Blunder car, swirved to miss it and hit Steve right in the side - luckily it wasn't a direct T-Bone and I was able to pick up and chase again.

Gave Steve a bit of a tap going into Surtees as I was comming in to hot - luckily he was able to recover quick enough that neither of us lost any places as I let him on by. Unfortunately he lost it a bit later at Hawthorn Bend I do beleive. Was chasing down Blunder and Geoffers after this, and a few laps I had caught up. Geoffers spun (which may have been due to Blunder lagging through him) right in the middle of the Druids, and I had to make evasive action to miss his rear end - Salvaging my one last headlight. I was in 11th untill my first pitstop, and only dropped to 14th by the time I got out. I was on my own for quite a few laps untill everyone started pitting. Got back up to 10th by going past pitters alone - then I caught up  to Ginsters and Pseudo and we had quite the fight for a few laps, which luckily for me put me into 7th by the end of it - giving me my best finish ever.

I carried the Lotus home for the last 7 laps, with about a 20 second gap of both 6th and 8th so I was in no rush to crash off track. My Pit strategy was my saving grace for the first portion of my race.

To bad to see you drop to 4th Oily Sad You had a great quali. See you all next week!

I enjoyed that...always enjoy Brands and the Mini though.

Was a bit of a downer at the start...Martins badly lagging car caused an almighty pileup into T4 on lap 1...cars seemed to be flying everywhere and I ended up running the entire race with busted suspension and no lights after it.  Lips Sealed

Had a couple of tussles but for the most part was hotlapping...not much chance of keeping a Falcon behind me for very long (and SBG makes me nervous  Wink) so my 'race' only lasted a couple of laps really.

Quite happy getting the little mini into the 1:51's though.

Next week should be an EPIC.

Arrrrrrrrgh. Going really well dicing with Sooty for 4th when game froze for 3-4secs which let Sooty past & allowed PR to catch up with me. Then a lap later along S/F straight got a CTD. Dammed AV had decided to notify me it was having a prob & shutting down. By the time I got back in the car was in the barriers at Paddock. Hope it didn't cause you any probs PR. Tried rejoining but the car was all over the track so quit.

I might get a decent race in one of these Enduros one day! Roll Eyes

Geoffers

Yer was shaping up to be a great battle that aswell  Embarrassed

How i came 2nd i will never know as i made the fatal misstake of putting 4 new boots on in the pits when they were fine to finish the race, alltho i must not grumble seeing the bad luck oily and d minton got to say the least.
Had a superb fight with baracus for a couple of laps with neither one us wanting to take the lead  Grin
but after the pitstops i was a solid 3rd so tryed to consolidate it until the gear shift went on a paddy and didn't downshift threw the chicane which sent  me royally into the wall hurting my tina. But with around 10 laps to go i nerly fell of my chair when i took 2nd place away from the truly unlucky oily  Undecided

Look forward to the nxt race if the wife lets me as she is getting a bit miffed the last couple of weeks l angel

Tactically interesting race Smiley
Have to say, Oily really deserved to win this race and he probably would have done if it wasn't for his pit stop going wrong. Unlucky mate - I see we have a new challenger though! Bring it on Cheesy

I made a lot of little mistakes in the first half of the race. Went in too fast into T4 far too often - making myself vulnerable all the way down the straight. Also went off at Westfield losing a lot of time, and on the exit of the last bend which let Sooty through. Not all bad though coz it led to some great racing action between us - side by side around Paddock > Druids > Graham Hill was a moment to remember Smiley

Pitted on lap 24 for a splash of 2 litres only. Think that won it for me coz I emerged some 15 seconds ahead of P3 (with PR ahead yet to pit) but I was getting used to my setup as the race went on and was getting more confidenent with being aggressive with the wheel, which seemed to be the way this setup had to be driven. I had a 50/80 diff so it tended to need throttle very early in the bend to get it to rotate but it was mind over matter actually having the confidence to floor it when it looked like I was already running wide Cheesy

Most amazing thing is that I didn't disconnect in 80 mins + Qual and praccy!! What a relief! Cheesy

Great racing everyone - thanks for the fun Smiley

Majorly unlucky for Dan and Oily - gratz to Sooty and PR for fine drives too.

Sorry to hear that you might not want to race GTL any more Dave Sad

Well, it is the last race and it is Lemans. I can have a word if it helps? Wink

Yep shame that no Elites turned up, maybe MJ would have tried it with some luck. Would be kinda nice if an elite vs abarth vs jag fight, a race within a race, grew in enduro series. Still, some nice wild card picks tonight and I think the openish choice of enduro has largely worked  Smiley

The start of the race threw me off because the last thing in the chat window was "Rolling" By Parle and I was confused as to if this was a rolling start or not.

Sorry about that - I was seeking clarification...  Despite having been relatively well prepared for this one I'd completely neglected to register what type of start it was.  I got totally caught out too and got passed by about 4 people.

Qualifying went pretty well - after a few laps off the pace I finally got a decent lap in and broke into the 1:49's.

As I mentioned, I wasn't sure what format the start was taking .... I got my answer soon enough!  About 4 or 5 people shot past me - DOH!

Martin "Blunder" Mason shot past me on the back straight using the Falcons muscle - and that's where things got a bit tricky.  Me and another car (forget who) were all over the back of his car, but because his car was warping massively we couldn't overtake for fear of getting punted.  Think I got spun out after nudging the stricken car, which was frustrating but led to the most enjoyable period of the race for me.

Me and teammate Steve had some cracking racing.  I was all over the back of him in parts, and then the Falcon would stretch its legs on the straight and leave me for dead.  Was excellent racing with you Steve, I kind of wish you hadn't let me past - I was quite happy racing as it was.

Having been let by I stretched out a bit of a lead and eventually caught the still warping Falcon.  After one particularly big warp I hammered into the back of the stationary car and ended up on my roof -  Sad.

By now my concentration was shot, and I wasn't really having any fun.  Thankfully a few people pitted allowing me some clear air and a bit of a break as I got back up to 7th (courtesy of the pitting).  After a couple of cock-ups mainly due to a lack of concentration (and indeed motivation) I came into the pits, ready for a few litres and to see where I was once I came back on track.

To put a long story short .... I did a Jonzo.

Yep - in too much of a hurry - I checked the fuel, it was set for 15 laps - and launched into the pit.  Of course I already had more than 15 laps in the tank, so nothing was added ... when of course I wanted an additional 15 laps  Roll Eyes.  That was bad enough as I'd need another stop - but they replaced all 4 tyres and repaired all the damage I'd accrued.  I was in the pits for a couple of minutes!

When I FINALLY got back on track I wasn't really looking to race, just chuck the car round a bit - which led to mistakes.  After one such mistake I saw Steve closing in on me from 9th (to lap me that is) and that was the final straw - to be lapped by Steve when he'd let me through earlier in the race was just an indication of what a shocker I'd had.

With the next place driver half a minute up the road and no-one quick enough to catch me up, I wasn't really in the mood to go hot-lapping in a beaten up Cortina so I called it a night.

It should have been a much better night.

Does somebody know if you can alter your .plr file so that when you pit the damage repair is set on No.

It took me a complete lap to get all damages fixed where i didn't intend to do this .

Offcourse I know with cleaner driving I wouldn't have this problem  whistling

Was going really well in the game - having some good dices with Truetom. Came into the pits and like a plonker I hit the wrong key and was out of the game. Totally stupid error.

TC

Was nice having a close friend there. Swapped places a few times and it's interesting to see a different approach to corners. You were quicker through Surtees and slower through Stirling's bend.  Smiley

I went out 3 times - bad, considering I can drive GTR2 for 80 minutes with minimum/no mistakes now and good enough for my 3rd GTL race, 1st for 80 minutes. Lol, when half was approaching I started thinking about pitting and realized I had no idea how it works in GTL.  Shocked  Furtunately it was similar enough to GTR2 to make it through.  Cheesy
