I've not been a fan of this game and was unsure of the car too, but I've just put in some practice and I'm actually enjoying it. I've only ever done a couple of billion laps around the track(it's the only one in GTR2 servers people use) so thought I would atleast know the track. I started off with the original simbin set up and have tweaked my way to sub 2mins, don't know how good or bad that is? Watching the engine revs, these little things will be tested to the max tonight. Long periods are spent at very high revs even using maximum ratio. How accurate is the fuel settings? I've no idea if it can be trusted?

sorry guys, had to quit the race, i was getting awful stutters as soon as we lined up on the grid and everytime i approached a corner it got worse and became undriveable. can only assume its my ongoing poor connection problems and the extra juice needed for race's fancy graphics must be enough for it to give out on me.

Shot myself in the foot tonight. Qualified in pole with over a second it hand.
I had no idea how hard I could drive these cars over 22 laps at such revs without blowing them up.
I resorted to shifting up slightly earlier and it was working well. I was about 11-12 seconds ahead by lap 9 and the car felt superb. Superglued to the road.
Stupidly I then took my eye off the road at clipped the gravel then slid across track removing front wing. I went to pit and overshot the line and got a stop and go for speeding to add to it.
It took 45secs stationary to replace nose, 10sec stop and go plus the time to make two pit entries.
I was well out of it but carried on although the car was nowhere near as sharp.
I was giving it big revs again and could be up as much as 0.5sec on my fastest lap at first sector, only to lose 1.5-2sec through the fast sweeping corners as I was short of grip or downforce it seemed.
Thought the cars were really good fun and went really well with the track.
Grats podium on very good drives

I am new to Race07. I had to drop my pc resolution down and reduce all sorts of settings on Race to get rid of the stutters. Reducing the field of view to 80% and detail to the same did the trick. No difference between online tonight and offline stutter bashing. Hate to think what the fps was but no way of measuring on Race

An enjoyable if somewhat lonely race for me. Prof went away into the distance and Brian must have crashed, leaving me in a safe 4th place. Congrats to the podium and many thanks to Don for staging an entertaining championship - it ought to have been better supported.

Unlucky Brian you were certainly the fastest guy out on track tonight.
After your mishap I inherited the lead and was able to hold the gap to picnic relatively stable (with the odd variation as we both made the odd mistake here and there) right to the end to pick up the win.
A big thanks to Don for putting in the time and effort to organise these. I've really enjoyed the RACE races, with a bit better attendance i think some of the races would have been barn stormers.

Damn, thats why I kept ending up in the kitty litter, I was following MJ to get an idea of braking areas Enjoyed that, I'm not race07's greatest fan, but that was good. Had no time to practice as I made a very last minute decision to join, but I wasn't too concerned as I know the track pretty well and it doesn't take long to get the feel of these cars imo. My out lap for qually was my first and only practice, but I managed to get to the end...swapped places with pops afew times when 1 or the other of us fell off but for the most part I was willing an extra second or 2 per lap as BK was starting to catch me at an alarming rate. But held on till the end. Grats podium, and thanks Don, only made 2 of the 4 but they were both most enjoyable.

Congratulations to Shark for winning the title and only competing to 3 or the 4 rounds. Sadly my only chance of ever winning a championship was taken from me by part timers turning up and pinching the big pointsAs soon as I saw Brian was going to take part I gave up on any chance of winning the race tonight and after 7 or 8 laps he was walking off in to the distance. Bernie had had a couple of scrappy laps and I was beginning to give him a hard time when I saw Brian was in the pits, stop & go? Sadly if Bernie was slowed by tyre wear and handling changes this happened to me after another lap or so and I struggled with any sort of consistency in the car in the second chicane. No idea if it would stop, lock up, oversteer under power. Everywhere else was pretty much as before if I go the lines / braking points right, just not that 2nd chicane. Well done Bernie you deserved the win, consistent and quick. Thanks for organising these Don and to all who've had a go What's next

I found RACE in the bargain bin last Thursday so this was my first race. I joined to watch Picnic hopefully claim his first championship in Shark's absence. I was shocked to qualify 4th and promptly made a newbie start. The plan to bore Kerr off the track by driving slowly worked perfectly but we hadn't accounted for Bernie in the master plan A near miss Picnic - congrats boss Shark on the championship win. A podium for me is a fantastic bonus and will surprise those who see my Vertigo as a mobile chicane in upper endurance. Congrats to Bernie and Pete and thanks to Don for organising the season. I have had my money's worth from RACE already, how about some more?

Big thanks to Don for organising the series The race was good fun up to when I got a stop & go. I'm hopelessly inconsistent in these cars, and slow. Not a great combo, lol.
