All members welcome.

Practice: 20:15 (10 mins)
Qualifying: 20:25 (10 mins)
Race: 20:35 (43 laps = ~80 mins)

Track: Interlagos download here
Cars allowed: Porsche 906, Ford GT40 and McLaren M1A download here.
Time of Day Setting: 12:00
Start: STANDING
Pit Stops: You must make a minimum of one pit stop during which you must take on at least 1 litre of fuel or change your tyres. You cannot take your mandatory stop at the end of the pace lap, or with less than 1 lap to go.

Server: UKGTL Mod test
Password: see above

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.ukRules.
(3) The season will be run using the UKGTL Skin Pack 1.6.5.0 which will need to be installed prior to racing; please get it from the downloads page.
(4) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car

If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Have you tried the McLaren yet Bill? It drives quite nice on the stock setup except I found the rear too loose turning into the corner. Partially cured by upping coast diff to 50%. I haven't tried any other changes yet but I'm sure more improvements can be made.

I tried the car at Silverstone 88 as its an easy track to drive & got down to 1.35.0 quite quickly.

Thanks for that Interlagos is a pig of a place to drive let alone with a car like this.  I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it is to drive at Silverstone 88.

They are great fun around Silverstone, and maybe thats for later Wink However, thats a bit of a power circuit and Interlagos will give us a better idea of how these beasts match up. I found the McLaren a real handful around here and may take the easy GT40 option (thats not something you say every day).

The more observant amongst you will have noticed the shorter quali time for this race. This is will make the enduro race night a little shorter so as to enable those, understandably, short of time on a week night to take part. Its should also spark up quali  Smiley

Only if it goes well will it be considered for upcoming season.

Sounds good to me SBG, Tony mentioned yesterday actually that it'd be good to have no qually at all for Enduros and I agree.

Would make for some great racing and there's plenty of time to climb up the positions if you've got the pace?
