Note the shorter session times and early dawn race start time. The sun will be in evidence but does not appear to completely obscure visibility in any corner.

Just run the whole race, the sun coming up is glorious!

Might pull over and admire it ! Grin

Looks like I'm now out of this one.

If I leave tonight to return for the racing I will never ever here the end of it, and boy can she go on.

I was really looking forward to this one too.

Good luck with the race guys, it will be a good one.

Probably be the next GT1 sprint at Silverstone before I'm back.

Well that was a great start to the season  Sad

Track I don't like
Car I haven't tried
No practice
Awful weather

Then the pedals start playing up - can't get more than 80% throttle

Solution: Federer v Nadal set 5 then Top Gear on delay

Hope you all had fun!

Was that based on Magnycour or Silverstone!

Spinning after only a few laps, on a bloody straight! facing the wrong way so had to let the whole field through then i'd catch people up started to overtake a few then the leaders came through and realised i was going to struggle for the rest of it to go anywhere.

Already felt knackered so decided to jump out as i was going to enjoy it.

Well that was intresting. Started to get into the grove after a few laps and decided to be cheeky and try a switch to Inters with the drying track. Far too early for that sort of thing, started going off all over. After a hard and full days work, not what I need to un-wind.  no

Well done to everyone who stuck it out, the start was horrid as far as the conditions go, but as far as I saw everyone did very well keeping things safe.

Didnt enjoy that one little bit.

first half wasnt too bad...except for low fps due to both bad weather and time of day, but got through it.

Pitted just before half way as my hard wet rears were melting and came back out with inters....they were terrible for the first few laps then came in a bit and I started getting some reasonable times in....but then I got totally distracted by my phone ringing away, and dropped it a couple of times...then ended up doing nothing but battle GT2 cars lol...I passed them, fell off, passed them fell off etc etc.......concentration shattered...fps too poor for safety again by then for some reason so quit out before I ruined anyones race.

Whilst I do enjoy the changable condidtions and the time of day, it didnt work for me today....I think possibly due to mixed class making it a bit more dangerous for all.

Ah well.....pretty sure the rest of the team will do ok Wink

Grats podiums.

Comedy of errors! that was!
Ran well to start with but when the rain stopped, my wets were getting too hot so eventually decided to pit.
Got distracted in the pit lane and hit the wall!
puncture + damage! Great!
Luckily could immediately pit and repair etc.
Changed to Hard Slicks thinking it was drying etc. Wow how wrong was I!
Any breath of throttle had me everywhere! Limped round and back in for some Inters!
Luckily that turned out to be the last pit that I needed and ran strongly, catching lots of the GT2 cars.
Unfortunately I had a couple of moments...
1. Reign Man, not sure if we touched  when you lapped me!? sorry if I did!
2. Slid into the back of a BMW on the brakes, late on in the race!? Really sorry, my fault!
Allowed him to rejoin only to see him spin at the next corner, presumably from the damge I caused! really really sorry!

Ended the race on vapour!

1st race in GTR2 for a while! Very difficult with the changing conditions!
In a seperate thread may be someone can give me a few tips on getting the tyre pressures right for a combination of tires!?

very demanding race! phew!

M.

nooooooooo!!! in the last lap, why!!!! :'(

I qualified 3rd and took the lead braking for the hairpin as the two leaders were giving too much space to each other lol Tongue then started a good amount of fast laps on soft wets. Temperatures were getting higher and higher, so when it stopped raining (160ºC I was then on rears) I pitted for inters and fuel to the finish. But they felt horrible, not only the first laps when I suppose it was still a bit too flooded for inters, but till the end! I was having a lot of hot moments, lapping cars with my problems was really risky and challenging lol

TT got 2nd after the stops and was catching me very fast, you gotta tell me what tyres you were on mate, I can't believe I could lose so much time in the same tyres. But anyway, two laps to go and he was just behind me. And in the last lap, as we were lapping MJ I think, I lost some traction exiting 180 and had to defend the position into the Imola chicane, ran wide and TT got me. We both went off at Chateaux d'Eau but he got more traction when we rejoined, I half spun so the place was lost.

2nd is not bad, but really hurt me lol congrats TT your pace was so good.
