Unexpected win, thought Dan had that, bad luck there m8, i didnt even notice passing him when he was in the pits, i guess thats cos my attention was focused on TT.
But anyway was following dan and made a mistake which let TT through and fought him right till the end when he pulled up, i now know he ran out of fuel which was lucky for me :whistling:as he had gotten alongside, again, for the second time at the hairpin and had the inside line. Good race TT, drove that mosler well.
SBG had closed right up on us too but time was running out.
cheers.

That was good fun. A lack of pre testing showed in my general pace. Great battle with Spanner . I couldn't have kept that pace up much longer mate, my engine was on the verge of blowing, (poor set up due to lack of testing) forced me to nurse the car home after Spanner's challenge dropped off .

No way I could take softs on either end so I was working the car hard on the formation lap to get my mediums up to something resembling operating temperature and caught the curbs in the final 'chicane', pitching myself off, sideways into the barrier and back to dead last. Hacked my way back up through a few cars to 11th or so, touching JPS along the way when I underestimated just how much faster I'd be out of the hairpin whilst taking a tighter line. Finally caught up with Steve Holmes for 10th before catching the curbs in turn 2 and going off, then I had Picnic up my tailpipes for most of the rest of the race, only really managing to build a gap up again when his tyres went south. Steve was nice enough to throw himself off the track to give me tenth, and then with MJ retiring and TT running dry on the final lap I came home a somewhat undeserved 8th. Pity the turnout wasn't so good - this must be the most evenly matched GTC field ever, there seemed to be close fights going on almost everywhere.

So it was you who stole all the cones from T1. They were all gone from lap 2 on my system

I may have "borrowed" a few, some one had moved them into my way.

great video Andy, you captured all the action brilliantly! Cool tuneage too Some great overtaking going on by all of us there. I see you captured my bizzare exit on film too, is that my rear left blowing out ? There is a big puff of smoke then the car turns almost 90 degrees off into the armco on the opposite side of the road...on a straight !? Weird one that.

Well i enjoyed that last night even tho i was last! My braking seemed well off compared to others which made it very tight at times, i was braking earlier but still arriving quicker than those infront. Lots of clenching going on at times Then i think i was practising offline too much as i was getting 1.44's easily, but i couldnt get the speed through the corners. Great racing there at the back, though picnic seemed to leap up the order then ran with JPS uptill about half distance. but a few times i'd bin it then have to catch up again. Then i seemed to struggle with less grip, as usual and just tried to calm down bit but i was slowly catching JPS. Err, was that the fixed weather with zero variability? as the conditions did vary in each session, mid twentys in qualy then it seemed to get upto the 30's in the race.

From what ive seen you put your rear right on the grass, turning you left.

Ta for that Andy Who on earth was that in the pink fezza? ....Just looked at my records, and I have done 240 laps at Hock in the fezza. That was the only one I can ever remember having a crash there....I have run past the turn in and spun a few times etc...but that looked like I turned in about 50 yrds too soon I haven't a clue what happened really, My first thoughts were that I had braked/manouvered to avoid rearending MJ, but I wasn't that close and MJ was at normal speed/line etc. and I didn't even have a cat on my knee

Looks like downshifting too fast. The Fezza is quite prone for those kind of things under braking.

quite possible Jeff, maybe a double downshift...had a few of them recently. will have to try and 'listen' to the replay.
