Was a bit slower than off-line but it was enough for 3rd place in quali. My setup was ok overall, but it was eating front tyres much more than the rears, so I decided to go with a med/soft combo - I never used softer rears on any other car.  Roll Eyes

Busi was pesky from the start.  Cheesy  I know him by now (did even from some public servers before he came here  Smiley ) so I knew he was faster than me. My problem was there was 1 alien too many - which was solved after JonM started playing in the sand. Bad luck buddy, the race really was yours.  Sad  Freq had an easy job in front as Busi was all over me from the start (not that I'd be a problem for Freq even if I was left alone  Tongue ). The speed difference was high enough to know that Busi was gonna overtake sooner or later. My goal was to preserve as much dignity as possible and to perform an illusion of defensive driving without taking him out.  Grin

Was a bit lonely after that until pitstops started to commense. Was not sure at the time if I could go without taking fuel but I wasn't gonna risk another Hockenheim  whistling so I took 10 litres. Ended with 14 litres surplus, so there's the answer.  oops  Came out behind Psuedo, who made a mistake and Gazza who provided us with some decent close laps until a small error which I could use to my advantage.  Smiley

Finished 3rd which was the most I was to achieve, so I'm happy with it.  Smiley  Bad luck for JonM and good racing overall.  Smiley
Busi joined the alien club - their internal fights might provide us mortals with some opportunities. Freq / Busi duel enabled me to almost close on them and join the fight for the top. Almost.  Wink

looked at the results and i see a whole army of pseudo racers, what happened to all the sharks and legends Grin
We at Dutch Turtles keep it simple 2 drivers ,but we are happy to take in new blood and you dont have to be Dutch or 50+ of age .
Great race last night ,i was not fast but steady ,i had to cause Evert my teamie went off in grand style in the fast left/left/ right mid section.
Had some nice battles with Pseudo,Gazza and Jon (good to see you back).
Also made a good pitstrategy for the first time in ages (only tires no fuel).
Looking forward to the next race.

Legends have gone i-racional.  no  MJ and Steve are fighting the desease but seems like they don't like GT3 changes / didin't have time to race last night.  Sad
I tried iRacing but other than good driving there's nothing in it for me.   Huh   Avoiding contact is not racing.  Lips Sealed

Poor race for me, no practice and an inability to setup a car resulted in a poor performance compared to the other Z3s. Considering how much slower I was than most in qualifying I expected a very lonely race but it didn't turn out that way and the speed of the Z3 on the straights kept pursuers at bay for longer than my skill/car/setup warranted.

Not sure what orders Team Psuedo adopt but I came across a very slow Psuedo/Ted pairing so happily accepted the invite to pass Ted for position Smiley Thanks boys  Grin

Had some good battles on the way especially in the second half of the race. Somehow I made several places around the pitstop times meant several faster cars having to chase me down. I often made it easy with little excursions on the grass Sad Enjoyed it more than I expected, cheers Smiley

You were closer than you think - I crossed the line with 0.9l of fuel left!  Shocked  Mental note: Put more fuel in next time  Tongue

You should (please, please!) invite Ruskus into your team, he's Dutch! And we're fed up with him stealing all our setups from the Team Shark webby and claiming he wins because he's "fast"  shifty

We should organise a Top Gear style race, where we all take GT1's and he turns up in a Boeing 747 Grin

Picnic, did you race in UK-GPL, most of the time racing a Brabham?

Did you mean GPL? In which case I might have done a few seasons Wink Missed start of S1 so did the reserve races then full time for S2 until I got fed up with the phaffing around with various length pit stops. GTR then came and saved the day Wink

Sorry, yes GPL. I know your name from somewhere. I thought it might be either UK-GPL or maybe the Atlas F1 GPL League.

I was at British GT at Brands all day so couldnt really come home and then jump in a sim race for a couple of hours. :'(

How is the balancing feeling so far then with this, ahem, modified G3 class? I see the 'only' porker in the field could only qualify 12th in Dans capable hands and the top 6 is made up of vertigos other than an alien in a Z Undecided  Looks like even the humble z3's are quicker than the porker now  Lips Sealed

Had a bit of a shocker where I had no pace at all and therefore just fighting for scraps at the back Sad It was all a bit embarrasing really.

But, I did finish (god knows how, I was losing the will to live at that point) and even though I had the chequered flag, it still had me down as DNF. When it rains, etc....

As I only had time to tweak the default setup with gears and wing, can another vertigo driver post their setup for Oschersleben please? Be worth having a look at that as well as the replay to find a bit more pace.

Congrats to podium, and JonM for a mind boggling low 1.27s in qual Smiley

Yes, I think we lost the Porsches for this season.  Sad  They don't fit, too slow and too clumsy.  no

Thats a shame. I am still not sure how the Lotus is. The Vertigo's seemed very quick and I was struggling pace wise with the Z3's. Would be good to have some Porka's to race. I am sure they would be racing the Lotus's.

Yes, I think we lost the Porsches for this season.    They don't fit, too slow and too clumsy.

ochers is a very vertigo friendly track....but they will struggle at the majority of other tracks in this series.

The Porka is on a pretty level par with all the cars in GT3 class...but even the VIPER cc beat it here last time out so ochers is obviously not a very friendly track for it.....I reckon it will still do very well at some of the other tracks.
Its still much better than having JUST the Vcc to race against...even though porka drivers dont quite get it all their own way now  Grin Wink

I think at Donington the Vertigos will struggle a lot more. I'll post the next race announcement when I've had a chance to review the race start time.
