Do GT1's generally require more downforce than GT2 class? ie i assume they are actually more dependant on it because of their higher top and cornering speeds ? Im finding the Maserati very twitchy with 8 wing whereas with 10 the backside is staying in tune with the very fast directional changes.
Massa normally requires high rear downforce. This will not be a good idea on that long back straight, so it's better to catch the twitchyness by softening the back up a lot. Settings of 1 aren't odd with that car. Rather strangely both here and at magny i'm finding a 2 front wing just creates too much understeer and and running a 1 wing setting allows me to turn-in better.
What the... . How on earth can that be? The different GT1 cars have quite different characteristics in terms of downforce. The Lambo isn't terribly quick in a straight line but seems to allow quite high downforce settings without big sacrifices in its top end.
It's hard for that car to go any slower really .

Well i'm happy, managed to get down to a 44.6 in the end, with, yes, a higher wing setting but i think the extra wing only seemed to help by about 0.5 sec. That was in a calm, stress free environment with nice music on. In the stressed environment of qualifying no chance!

I turned gtr2 on for 5 mins last night after racing on iracing. You would have thought I'd never played it before. I was all over the place and kept turning in far too early for corners. It felt so different. Can't see me doing well tonight!

glad to hear that Brian ..more chance for us mortals to have a crack Sorry you wont be there Ginsters, best wishes to the old man 2-8 looks like my combo for the massa tonight. I seem to have ironed out the twitchy-ness but i wouldnt say its perfect by a long chalk. Its a tough car to setup but looking forward to a good race at the very fast silverstone. Track looks great.

Watch Simon or ask him for some tips, he's handy in the 550. I've barely touched it, so don't ask me! >_< Alternatively download Huttu's setup.......and win by 100 miles

Was planning to race this entire season, but with missing the first race due to work, and definately not being able to make Monza, it's not really worth it for me (starting a new job means I'm a little strapped for time). I hope I can make the Enduro races, and I'll try to keep up appearences in the GT3 champs as well

Pole and win, I will happily take that as really never expected it.
I just found it so odd to play GTR2 again after [playing racing in iracing. I was struggling badly to judge the turn in.
Without getting that close to SBG pole record I manged to get pole.
In the race I just sat at a very steady pace and made no mistakes, don't even recall a wheel on the grass. How much will that effect my irating?
Again not that close to Freqs lap record but I was consistent

I qualified 14th and finished 5th. Speed is nothing without control.

Really enjoyed that, made a mistake with soft fronts as the front left was cooked at about lap 17 (36 wear!), but never the less, had a great scrap with Mark and Gazza all race, grats to the podium btw.
