Ah its good to be back Grin

Got me a G25 now and i must say, it makes a difference  Shocked not in speed, but definitely how you feel the feedback it gives! no offs at all for me tonight very consistant wahoo! the only mistake was when i let team mates psuedo and reign man through woodcote on lap seven, whilst fumbling for the headlight button to give em a little flash, didn't change up a gear and lost speed all down the start/finish straight.....
JPS sorry for the little touch under pit limiter speed at the start Embarrassed  had a very entertaining battle with Ade and spanner (with a little psuedo thrown in) throughout the whole race! most pleased with the finish and looking forward to monza.

congrats podium, see you in 2 weeks.

Not a bad race.  Had a good tussle with Gazzer straight away and managed to get a run down the back straight and passed him underbrakes at stowe Cool

I then battled with my teamies for the most part and to tell you the truth it wasnt looking like i could pass them easily.  Madd in the lister got caught on the turn 1 kerbing which scrubbed off some of his speed which allowed me to get alongside and get him into turn 2, good race for lots of laps there m8 Smiley.

Dan was next but again i couldnt see a place to overtake because i was never anywhere close enough to have a late dive underbrakes, so once again im looking for a mistake to get passed.  After a few laps of chasing Dan he pulled up at Stowe Huh

I still had sight of Brian at this stage but he was a good bit down the road and i either got slower or Brian kicked it up a gear because i eventually lost sight of him.

cheers Mark

I could just copy n paste my last few reports here....same again...terrible race.

Got 10th in qually...which was ok but 6/10th off my pb so could have been better.

Lost a couple of places on lap 2 when I ran wide a couple of times on cold tyres but felt ok and knew I had enough pace to attempt to get them back. But then a car in front lost it and skidded across the grass and came to a stop in exactly the same piece of tarmac I was aiming for Shocked...no way I could have avoided it and a hefty 'T' bone damaged my car quite a bit and the off put me to last but 1.

caught a battle of three or four cars ahead and basically spent the rest of the race swapping spins with them.  Grin....my lap times were 1.5 to 2 secs a lap below what I knew I could do, due to the damage, and I ended up spinning/half spinning at just about every bit that wasnt straight.  Roll Eyes

Ah well.....spose it's time to give iRacing a go.

Grats podium....well done again Gazza.

Yeah..im really sorry bout that m8..just couldnt stop the thing once i`d hit the grass..an unfortunatly knew exactly where i was headed...

Had a horrible race in general..no pace at all..so all in all i think i finished a few places higher than i deserved to..but thats racing

Results and replay up.

That was pretty good, made a last ditch effort in qually with a different setup and got ahead of Shark and RR on the grid. Early race mostly consisted of watching Legends throw themselves off laugh and seeing the huge cloud of smoke which had once been Dan's engine.

Tried to heap some pressure on TT as his Saleen was pretty slow in the final sector but quick everywhere else and I couldn't see an obvious way by. That was overheating my left rear a bit and eventually I bit off more than I could chew going into Maggots and did a 360 in front of Shark's 550. Somehow we avoided disaster and the order was reversed.

This released TT to catch Steve's MC12 and that allowed the Team Shark battle convoy to drag up to the back of them. There was some light chaos going into Abbey after Shark got past and TT spun in front of me, wiping off my headlights but leaving me otherwise undamaged. I think Purdie, who had been slowly edging towards me after some sort of early incident dropped him back got caught up.

After that it was a question of keeping pace with Shark in case he made a mistake a looking after the tyres to avoid any more overheating problems. Steve seemed able to keep station behind me so I couldn't back off too much.

Needed a good race like that after the disaster that was Oschersleben.

Bloody'ell that was fun laugh

Great race Ade, Munkez plus the guest appearances of Pseudo Wink Would have been nice to be a bit more consistant but oh well as everytime i got overtaken someone else would get by. Then it would take a few laps to get back up to them.

I hope i didnt cause you to spin Evert? Sorry if i did, you looked like you caught it then spun the other way and i was just too close. I dont think i touched you, i didnt feel anything.

Was catching ade and Mnkez on the last lap and got really close coming into the last corner, and had visions of getting you both Wink But just tried to go too fast through it and spun trying to accelerate on the grass!

Blimey, can't believe i finished on the lead lap.

Fun race for me despite going off and putting myself in last place at the start from 3rd  Roll Eyes Apologies to JPS1, my escapade on the first lap caused you to take the grass. Sorry  Embarrasseds

I quickly gained a couple of places to find Psuedo in front, I followed him as we overtook a couple more cars but a few laps in he had a spin and so I put the hammer down to chase a lister who was in 16th, who in tun made a liitle error allowing me to get past (sorry cant remember who it was).

There was a 7/8 second gap to the next set of cars and when I caught them MJ was just recovering from an off and was all over the back of someone, who made a mistake I think and let us both through as well as another who went off at the same turn.

I had a hard time finding a way past MJ, my tyres were starting to fade badly and I had to be as smooth as I could. I eventually got better drive onto the hanger straight and went up the inside and broke as late as I dared and just got through  Grin Great driving  yes

Next up was Roadrunner, when I caught him on the hanger straight I tried to go straight past him by going around the outside of the right hander at the end of the straight. It didn't work, I broke really late, but he broke just a bit later and defended the corner by drifting around it with me on the outside of him.  Impessive   Cool  thumbup2

Shortly after this MJ closed the gap to us and was all over the back of me when he span off.  Real bad luck Mate  Shocked   I spent the last 10 mins trying to get past Roadrunner, on the penultimate lap I got another good run onto the hanger straight and found myself on the outside going into the righthander. This time I broke ULTRA late   scared but he still broke later!  eek but unlike the first time, he was going too fast to show off again and drift around the turn and went wide allowing me through  Tongue  Grin  nice fight!

Finished in 10th.  Whew! was hard work

Grats to podium!

Looking forward to the Enduro

Wow great race, much better than i expected!

Didnt qualy as well as i'd hoped, did a 1.41.8 just b4 the server restarted but couldnt get in the 41's when it really counted but 4th was still ok. Got an unexpected 3rd place after just a few corners as RM went wide and lost alot of places (unlucky again m8) but i knew that i would probably get passed down the straights by the Fezza's behind me and by lap 2 they had.

So back to 5th but managed to keep the 2 infront of me honest by staying no less than a couple of secs behind also could still see 2nd lol.  Then another bit of fortune for me when Dans engine blew, blinding me in stowe for a split second lol so back to 4th.

Kept pressing as i had a decent gap behind me and trying to put Mad Ripp under pressure and in the last 5 or 6 laps i started closing as maybe his tyres were going off and with 2 laps to go he went wide at the top of the hill after the bridge and i nipped through for a great 3rd place.

Once again good consistant laps and no offs got me another good result as my lap times were not that great.  Now if i can just find another half a sec or more in race trim then i might give the big boys something to worry about for a few laps  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Grats brian and Mark.

I've been checking through previous results after each race, curious to how much performance changes and people improve over time.

Last time we did a GT1 sprint at Silverstone, April 10th 2007, I did 23 laps in roughly 41mins 20 secs. Jeff won in Saleen doing 23 laps in 40min 51 secs.

This time Jeffs race time would only scrape the top 5.

Shows how much people can improve with practice.
