Pity really - cost me 4 places in the table that 1 extra point  Wink

Sounds like a plan Smiley. I could just turn up with 120kg, not worry about the result and still get as many points as the aliens (maybe Grin). That would annoy them a lot so sounds like a good thing to me. angel Unfortunately, being the slowest GT1 car in straight line, the Lambo really doesn't need any help at being slow on the straights, so not sure I'd want to. Shocked

really thought i would be competitive here, but no... Huh
got in late so bad qualy on a wet track.Right from the start good fights with Pribeiro, JPS and Picnic.
They were all faster on the straight ( i gambled with a rain setup),so i had to be defensive.
Peter squeezed thru on the back straight ( how did you do that Huh) and after i had a coming together with Prib ( it was like i hit a tank)
i was at 21th place.Later i came in and sailed past my crew( in practise i had the last box),so i had to come in again, second stint was better with a string of 1.50's
Race was ok,bit lonely second stint .

Some good close racing last night amongst the lower end GT2s - thanks to Ade, Peter and Jan for that.

Lost my rhythm a bit when the GT1s started to lap us, which extended the gaps. Apologies to HAL9000 when you were lapping me; I went to move over and let you pass on the inside but I didn't see you come up on the outside until it was too late.

I gained 2 places on the pitstops and was starting to make up a bit of time when a stop/go penalty flashed up for speeding in the pits. Doh! Ok, I thought, I can still salvage this race, so I served the penalty and went out, only to be told I was pit speeding again. Double Doh!  Embarrassed

Anyway, enjoyed last night apart my school boy pit errors.

As usual a lack of practice meant I was way off the pace last night. Having been in Kent for the last 3 days of the week then at Combe for the weekend I just didn't have any available time Sad

Had some good battles, think I was a little ambitious when I got passed Jan! Sorry for that. I had tried the outside/switch back there the previous 2 or 3 laps and thought I'd try the inside but it wasn't as clean as I'd hoped.

I too messed up my pitstop and got a stop&go Sad Shortly after that I decided the armco needed inspecting and being 30 secs plus off the car in front I lost the will to continue  Embarrassed

Think I owe SbG an apology too. Was letting him passed and was too busy looking for his car to spot the braking point - think I missed him but silly error by me.

wow, cool race Cheesy love enduro's

just made it last min to race with a green card from my gf....(who kindly supplied me with beer for 80 mins Cheesy)

love Silverstone and good practise as i'm racing there in Group C at the Classic next week!!!  Undecided  Grin

quali was fine, just getting a 3rd before the brief shower. In the the race the top 3 pulled away with me in 3rd..i managed to slip past Dave in 2nd and then eventually SbG...both very fair i have to say, only gave me a gap when i deserved it and not before....quality racing  Grin

ran with 75 litres at the beginning with med/hard tyres, which lasted well and pitted circa lap 30 for 35 litres and a set of soft/med which helped me close the 10 sec gap SbG had extended and hold off Dave G  Shocked.

Don't know how i lost that much time in the pits  Huh as i crossed the finish line with 1.5 l of fuel...did you have a tyre change SbG??

regardless my strategy paid off Roll Eyes, helped with an unfortunate incident where SbG got knocked off. He knew I wasn't aggressive so he had a solid chance of holding me off bar any mistakes but a back marker collided with him  Sad

grats to FreQ and hope i wasn't a nuisance when being lapped, the only place I couldn't concede was the Maggotts/Becketts bit as you lose too much time but apart from that I tried to be fair  Smiley  euro

I should hope I wasn't a nuisance to anyone else as my wheel as all over the place for a few laps  Lips Sealed

is that the same problem as me??

I have a Momo racing wheel and when I have a serious opposite lock moment and use ALL of the lock the wheel un-calibrates itself just off centre  Angry, i need to go full lock right and then full lock left while racing to re-calibrate it   Shocked

Nah mines a G25. Never had an issue with it until last night. It just twitched and suddenly I had half lock, and after unpluging it, I had full lock back but no FFB. Very weird.

Not sure if it's fixed yet. I'll praccy in a bit to test it.

I don't have the Momo but when I was reading up about what wheel to get I read a review ( http://www.pcrules.com/LogitechMomoRacingFFWheelReview.shtml ) that mentioned "the wheel occasionally loses its centre", but "can easily be fixed by using a program available" from http://www.wingmanteam.com/files/Patches/momo_racing_center_fix/

As I said, I've not tried this or if it's the same problem you've got... but I thought I'd mention it. Hope it helps.

Yep, a new set of meds all round. No fuel though and with hindsight that was a bit of a mistake Smiley

No worries Picnic. You did give me quite a thump but it frightened you more than me. I prolly broke earlier than you were expecting,

Be rude not to thank you, Dave and Dan for some high quality stuff last night. Also the GT1 boys were very patient in race and sorry to the pink 550/575 (?) that I scared the pants off when I was thinking about the pit entry instead of the corner I was on Roll Eyes Really enjoyed that race.

Quite a good race that, even if it was a bit lonely  Sad

Quali went ok. It quickly became apparent that it was going to "Reign" Tongue  so I went out quickly to get a banker lap in. it was a good lap, good enough for second Cheesy After the banker lap I really pushed to try and get a PB but I went straight into the back of Legzy at the end of the hanger straight.  Oops! really sorry mate, I kinda zoned out  Roll Eyes. After that it started raining and so I did a few laps just to check out the conditions.

The race itself was pretty quiet, FreQ was just too quick as I knew he would be.  I was extremly worried about my tyre ware so I tried to be as smooth and fast as possible and had a good pace. By the end of my first stint Busi was gaining on me quickly as my tyres were finished after around 35 mins. I had had a good stop and was able to pick up my pace and rebuild a gap over Busi. With around 10 mins to go I came accross Nfasts "Ghost" after he disconected and hit it sending me into the gravel. Very strange, I saw it move off track whille I was rejoining.  Huh  Thankfully the gravel worked and I escaped major damage.

The 15-17 second gap I had to Busi was cut to 4 seconds, I was really struggling with the car but thankfully I was just able to keep the pace up to keep the place to the end of the race. One more lap and Busi would have sailed past me  sweatdrop

Grats to FreQ.....with his wheel problems, great pace!!

And thanks to all the GT2's no poblems at all......Apart fom the one where I got sideways under braking during an overtake into the second chicane. Sorry, whoever it was, I hope I didn't hold you up too much  Roll Eyes

See ya at the next one

No worries mate, it was over aggressive by me. The other times I passed you were fine and all GT2s did a great job letting me pass. Smiley

No worries, I was so nervous during qualification I was convinced I was just in everybodies way & felt like I was all over the place! I think Martin spent more time telling me to relax then he did improving his own times. Cheers Martin, you really helped me out this week  clap
