O dear, don't give up the day job gents That long, dipping banked left hander just before 1st tunnel has to be my fave corner. The way the rear in the Falcon got all light was a pure delight And that fast flick before it wasn't half bad either. Anybody else have funny fps dips like me? Nice turnout and lets hope for a full grid when the serious stuff begins next week. Personally I can't wait

Humid and still 27 degrees outside and I had to pick tonight to have my first proper race in a Falcon...sweat was poring down my face after lap 5 !! Had a great race tho with lots of action on the track! Had some great fights (great fun to watch Steve 'bump' his Fiat with 4 tires from the ground) and hordes of other Abarths.. was really a challenge not to hit any of the little cars with that loooooong trunk Next race back at the end of the pack again I'm afraid See you all in South America!

Exciting race - and I though washing was boring Got an awesome start up to 2nd in my tin, then got all flustered and heavy right foot lead to a spin in the chicane. Stll not sure exactly how I couldn't hold it but around she went! Last place... Still, well chuffed I got it back up to 5th (?) at the end! That was the max that car could have done I think because the gap infront was massive to G's [EDIT: Phil's] Mini. Had a great dice with PR's Jag for a few laps - we haven't raced like that for a while mate, brought some good memories back Funniest thing was seeing Tibs get AERIAL (sorry) in the tunnel after hitting a still car in practice session and he hit the roof and wallopped back down Yea I got a really stuttery screen for about 10 seonds at one point but it cleared up and didn't happen again. Lucky it happened on a straight really. I dunno how you can cope with 12 FPS all the time Tibs! Hows ur PC build going?

Ordered the last of the parts earlier today, so it'll definitely be ready for the race in two weeks time. Might even be ready for next week, depends when the parts come.

Mine varied from 12 to 6. Tibs, I don't know if it's against your particular 'simulation ethics'... but have you tried driving with bonnet cam? Could be worth about another 5fps to you (which at the rates you're getting would be massive benefit). Apologies if that's been mentioned hundreds of times before. That long, dipping banked left hander just before 1st tunnel has to be my fave corner. Snap. Love it.

Fun race, I must say. We had some contacts with Geoffers, when hi hit me he let me by like a real gentleman. That's why I felt all the more xxxxxxxx when I squeezed him out and into the sand. I was afraid he was gonna think I did it as any kind of revenge. It was my pure clumsyness, Geoffers. I had fully turned the wheel to the left and the car was turning and turning and turning and used all the track available. It might also be 'cause I just came from GTR2 race and the cars are soooo different. Anyway, I felt guilty all along and I was really glad when I saw you closing the gap towards the end. After the first few crowdy laps I started to close on Phil, slooowly reducing the gap. Was expecting I'll have to try for some time to pass, as the laptime difference was small. Well, once I got alongside I could quickly pull away, Falcon has much more grunt than a Mini. Great driving all the same Phil. SBG was to far to catch (like I could catch him, lol ) so I settled for 2nd. When Geoffers started to catch towards the end of the race I decided to pay my moral debt to him. 3rd is ok. TT

Well that was an awful race for me, but a great, fun, event. I failed to run a single clean lap in qually or the race, every single one I lost chunks of time somewhere, I think my fastest race lap went -0.5, +0.1, -0.1 on the spilts, which was typical. In qually I was up by 0.7, 0.5 and 0.5 on my best qually lap and always messed up. Frustrating.....but...... ....the race was mad, crazy fun, at least for the first half. Can't really remember the first 5 laps, think I flew up and down the field; up to 2nd, down to 11th, I hope I didn't do anything naughty to anyone, don't think I did, but I was laughing so hard I wasn't really concentrating, cars everywhere. The race settled down a bit and then had a really nice fight with Alex's Falcon for a good few laps, changed position so often, some nice cutbacks by both of us, and I kept overtaking just where a long straight followed where Alex could blast by. Doh! Finally nipped through in the second tunnel and made the break. Cool stuff. After that I just kept losing the car and running inconsistent laps, not as much of a laugh, but never mind. I shall try to be more focused for the championship races.

---WARNING MAY CONTAIN SPOILER--- Guys, just watched a spot of the replay on TV cam mode... poor Martin, doing well till coming up to the 2nd tunnel on lap one, then as he tried to go through it... All I'll say is a series of events conspired against him & glug glug glug. Unlucky buddy I tell you what, there was certainly some good close racing going on in that 1st few laps! Watching Ginsters coming down the home straight for the 1st time, twelve other cars are also visible (on TV cam)! Looks fantastic.

I did try bonnet cam a while back but I can't control the car with it. Didn't seem to make much difference to the frame rate either.

Really enjoyed this track & this race.
No worries about the first lap tangles Truetom, the first was my stupid fault not allowing for the slower corner speed of the Falcon & to be honest I had actually forgotten about the nudge at the next corner until you mentioned it. Anyhow it made for an exciting drive back through the top 10. Getting past Will's Mustang being one of the best bits, it took about 2 laps to finally make a pass that would stick on the next straight.
Congrats to Ginsters & Truetom. When you let me past at the end TT, I thought you had run out of fuel! There was no need really, but thanx, I owe you one.
Cya all next week Geoffers

I enjoyed this track - good racing from all, but found the Mustang just couldn't cut it on the bends aswell as some of the other cars, tending to want to corner sideways lol, but strait line speed made up for that a little - good fun though. I found myself dropping from 3rd to 7th after some great battles with PRibiero, Geoffers, and a few others, but the tyres seemed to be on meltdown by the last few laps. Finally lost out to Alex on the last lap after a good tustle, running out of fuel right on the final turn Good stuff guys can't wait for the new season
