And don't forget to change your PLR file for the pit stops, (4) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
  see you on track  Grin

I've read this a few times now as obviously it's on the race rules. However I've no idea where I find these options. Help!

I've tried a few pit stops in offline races and as soon as I go over the pit line the computer drives me right into my pit. I guess this is what I need to stop for one?

Also what is the common strategy, half and half, of fill the tank up etc?

The file you need to edit will be located somewhere like this:
C:\GTL\UserData\Legzy\Legzy.PLR

Open that file with notepad & look for the lines that say:

Quote
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car

Put the 1's & 0's in the right places. Good luck  Smiley

In GTL I do the same as GTR2 - brim the tank and only add what I need at the stop. GTL is much more about the tyres anyway.

Thanks got it now.

I've changed them over now and I full control of my pit stops. Going by GTR2 experience that's not a good thing.

I will have to remember to set pit limiter myself.

Also, I notice that you don't need to stop the engine to carry out pit stop, is that right?

Any more tips for pit stop?

Can't  join the practice server. It says it may be different from my game. I'm patched, I have the skin set, the Aston and the Ferrari, and the track... Just want to make sure I'm not panicking without good reason as I really don't want to miss the race.

Edit: Actually I might be losing my mind.

It's telling me "host may be running a different or modified game"?! Hope this is just me being a bonehead.

Edit: Yep, can't get on as I keep getting that message. NOOOOOO!

I've got the track, the skin pack. I install the cars (Aston, Ferrari, even installed the McLaren) THEN the skin pack. Game is greyed out. When I go to join I get that message:( And yes, I got all the files from here.

Game clearly says 1.1.0.0 in the corner.

Just tried a bunch of other servers, and no. "Host may be running a different or modified game".

ARGHHH!

I have Starforce removed. That wouldn't be causing it would it? (Since I have a friend with the same and seems to be running just fine online for him.)

I'm going to see what I can sort out, but I am gutted right now:(

Sounds like you aren't running the 1.1.0.0 patch - yes, Starforce removal could be causing it.

I am definitely running the patch, but I'm redoing it now just to make sure I hadn't broken something in all my fiddling.

If it's Starforce I'm going to be very upset. I had one system damaged before. I am not risking it again. But my friend doesn't have it and it works. *sob*

Still nothing. I was so looking forward to this :'(

I've got starforce on this and the old PC and never had a problem with it. Undecided

Can't think of anything that you haven't already tried I'm afraid. Sad
