Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 764s

Ossie locks up and spins, the car's momentum carries it down the track towards the apex. Matt Rowe arrives and finds no room to get through and collides with Ossie. Both are able to carry on. Although Ossie starts to get on the gas to right himself, which moves him further onto the racing line, his spin has already left the track blocked and contact was unavoidable, Matt was simply unlucky.

Just a race incident.

  • Racing incident

Server replay time: 1745s

Madd gets in Geoffers slipstream and pulls out to overtake, but locks up the rears and spears into the side of Geoffers as they enter the corner, knocking him off track with Madd ending up on his roof. Both are able to carry on having lost a place or two. Several other drivers have to take evasive action leading to the next incident.....

A simple mistake here, would have been a clean overtake but for a lockup, and Geoffers has kindly requested no penalty, so another racing incident.

  • Racing incident

Server replay time: 1757s

After ending up on his roof Madd is righted, placed perpendicular to the track half on/half off it. His visibility is nil, using the look left function there is no way to see 90 degrees to the left which is what he needs to. Madd almost moves into Steve Parsons as he straightens the car, but Steve takes evasive action.

This wasn't an unsafe rejoin since there was no possibility to see back down the track, and you have to rejoin at some point.

  • Racing incident

Server replay time: 4536s

Matt Rowe loses a little momentum being passed by Ruskus, and SBG slips through and gets ahead. From about 3 car lengths behind Matt brakes later and runs into the side of SBG at the apex, pushing him out wide and taking the position. Both carry on.

Matt was much too far back to make a pass. Although braking later on the inside from far back can be used to apply pressure on another driver providing you don't get your nose inside them, actually trying to pass with a late-braking lunge is not acceptable style in the clean gentlemanly racing encouraged here.

That's a good idea. I have a hub downstairs which goes up to the actual broadband router (which is new) but maybe its time to replace the downstairs one. Worth a try so I will get one in town tomorrow.

The ISP said if the speed is normal then it must be something to do with the game and to speak to the developers. 10Tacle seem to have vanished so I dunno where to get support from. Anyway iRacing has done it a couple of times too so its not the netcode IMO.

The only other thing I could try is reformatting with XP and reinstalling everything (currently Vista on my race PC)?? Maybe that's it!?
Thanks for the tip Rusky Smiley

They reason why I knew it was my router was, because when I connected my PC directly to the modem, I had no problems. Maybe try a direct connection like that to see.

Thanks dude, got a long way to go to compete properly against you boys but I'm happy to make do with the scraps and easy cars for now   Grin

My best result here for some time. Great track for these cars, some really close racing.

Ran 4th in the early laps fighting off attacks by Mr Oily, Ossie & Matt Rowe. Nabbed 3rd when Madd spun, but we had a little disagreement a lap later which lost us both a couple of places. A lap further on I encountered some lag  Angry, so drove off the racing line until it cleared which dropped me to 8th just behind PR. We circulated together for several laps with PR gradually pulling away & with pistops & others misfortunes we were 1-2 with around 10 laps & pistops to go.

We pitted together but I made a mistake & forgot to cancel tyre changes & so spent twice as long in the pits as I needed to, grrrrr. In the end it probably didn't make any difference as I doubt I could have caught PR in the last few laps & would still have been 3rd.

Congrats to Oily & PR.

Cya next time

What a race! Really enjoyed this one.  I have not had a chance to race for a while due to other commitments and was surprised by the great turnout for a game that has been around for so long and nearly got canned a year or so ago.

Was great to see a lot of old faces and many new ones and the driving standards are still very high.

Well started seventh and made a few places up early on, had some good little fights throughout with Truetom and Matt Rowe and was very surprised to find myself in third for a while mid race.  Pitted on lap twenty seven with a bit of a delay in the pits and came out nineth (Gutted).  I found myself all alone with about a twelve second gap between me and the eighth place man and on new rubber started to pick up a couple of seconds a lap on him.  Two laps to go had 5th, 6th and 7th places in my sights but could not make up the deficit and finished a few seconds behind in eighth.

Many grats to podium, see you all again soon if shift pattern permits.
