Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 764s

Ossie locks up and spins, the car's momentum carries it down the track towards the apex. Matt Rowe arrives and finds no room to get through and collides with Ossie. Both are able to carry on. Although Ossie starts to get on the gas to right himself, which moves him further onto the racing line, his spin has already left the track blocked and contact was unavoidable, Matt was simply unlucky.

Just a race incident.

  • Racing incident

Server replay time: 1745s

Madd gets in Geoffers slipstream and pulls out to overtake, but locks up the rears and spears into the side of Geoffers as they enter the corner, knocking him off track with Madd ending up on his roof. Both are able to carry on having lost a place or two. Several other drivers have to take evasive action leading to the next incident.....

A simple mistake here, would have been a clean overtake but for a lockup, and Geoffers has kindly requested no penalty, so another racing incident.

  • Racing incident

Server replay time: 1757s

After ending up on his roof Madd is righted, placed perpendicular to the track half on/half off it. His visibility is nil, using the look left function there is no way to see 90 degrees to the left which is what he needs to. Madd almost moves into Steve Parsons as he straightens the car, but Steve takes evasive action.

This wasn't an unsafe rejoin since there was no possibility to see back down the track, and you have to rejoin at some point.

  • Racing incident

Server replay time: 4536s

Matt Rowe loses a little momentum being passed by Ruskus, and SBG slips through and gets ahead. From about 3 car lengths behind Matt brakes later and runs into the side of SBG at the apex, pushing him out wide and taking the position. Both carry on.

Matt was much too far back to make a pass. Although braking later on the inside from far back can be used to apply pressure on another driver providing you don't get your nose inside them, actually trying to pass with a late-braking lunge is not acceptable style in the clean gentlemanly racing encouraged here.

There looked to be some issues with the server earlier, I was getting the car selection screen minus any cars! Seems cool now though.

Great track choice btw, all the ingredients for an action packed enduro  Grin

No problems for me, track runs fine.

Great fun in the Alfa. Thought the Mini would like this track, but it seems hard work compared to the Alfa.

Falcoln hell. chortle
Tried everything 'cept Jag and Fiat500. I'm most comfy in the Alfa
probably the fine Italian leather that does it.

Tina is similar pace for me, Mini is 3 secs slower in my hands
maybe areal mini driver will do better.
Flacon is a big pot to hurl around, 'bout same times as mini
was my fave, but now I know the track a bit, I am quicker and more stable in Alfa.
What times are people getting? I reckon the aliens will be doing 1.47's
maybe the odd 46. I can only just creep under 50 in T'alfafa, maybe
could in Tina with more practice. having trouble with T1 again.
As said, should be a cracking track/car combo for a longgggg run.

No problems with the track for me. Did 10 laps practice and a 15 lap race with a full, 36 car grid, last night. I'll be taking the Mini next Thursday, though I think the Alfa will have the edge on it. Have dipped into the 1.50's, might just about get into the 1.49's if I can get that hairpin before the pit entrance sorted out. It's like a mobile geometry lesson, can't seem to get it right at all.

I was just reading that Okayama has a very large Zen monastery which has produced several abbots for other major monasteries. Pre-race prayers anyone? I Am Not Worthy I think I'll need them.

I thought you'd favour the mini Phil, for a long race it's as much
what you are stable in as what is fastest.
I havn't got round to trying dry run races yet, I have just been
chucking the cars around.
I have a "line" for the last double hairpin thingy, in the Alfa it's
mostly sideways and pray for the first lefthander, then comtemplate
the meaning of the universe for the final right hander, before eventually
powering into the fast double right sequence.
Have not worked out what the best lines are for me, in that section
you can either go wide in the left, and tight into the right
or, as I have been doing, keep tight in the left, and take a wide late
apex into the right, so as to get best speed into the final pair of rights.

Other one that I'm not sure of is the 1st turn. You can either go in
tight and slow, or fast and wide, which seems better for the run down
to T2, but I seem to be waiting an age to get on the power that way
I'll figure it... Undecided

"Drink from the empty petrol tank" isn't that a Zen thing?

Legzy, this has been done to death elsewhere. I'm sure an obliging soul will provide a link to past "discussions"

Cheers Tony, didn't realise. It's just a bit odd seeing the same complaint post-race regularly.
I would like to see the conclusions of past discussions if said obliging soul can help out? Ta.  Smiley

There are never any conclusions to discussions like this....just opinions.

I suppose the best way to sum up is.

Do what YOU want and not what OTHERS want.

I'm experiencing CTD's on the loading screen at about 75% loaded. But not always. Tried changing no. of cars but this doesn't effect it. Tonight I was trying different cars out and on the 3rd go the game CTD. I have deleted and reinstalled track but no fix. Anyone else had this happen?

Tested track again and its still trouble free for me. Still having trouble Tony? Anyone else having issues?
Sorted now thanks.

Lol yeah quite, you say that, I get all excited being within a couple of secs and then you, Mr. Minton and co will turn up, one hand on the wheel, one arm on the door and cane those beasts for 80 mins like you're exempt from tyre wear. Don't play with my emotions in this way. nono

What you getting in the smaller stuff Jeff...just out of interest of course?  Grin
