Another really exciting race with really close battles. Having spent all day on the road driving back from Scotland (7+ hours), GTR2 was a welcome change from cruise control boredom on Britain's motorways. Thanks for the fun.

grrrrr stupid Variante Alta! Qualified on pole by half a second, started well and I half-spun in the chicane. Brian passed me and there was no way I could take the place back. He was going fast and not making even the smallest mistake. After halfway through I started making silly mistakes so I ended up 20 seconds behind him. Push hard at Imola and you'll get punished, this is basically what I've learnt from this race. Apart from Brian being unbeatable lol! Grats mate

I didnt think i qualifyed too badly, with JPS infont by 2 tenths and Dave behind by over half a sec. I'd not done much qualy runs before.
Seemed to be just keeping with Peter in the C5R in thefirst few laps but Reign Man rejoining behind helped bring Dave closer. ReignMan came through and seemed pretty lairy but I ended up watching him through the chicane try to gauge his speed which meant i wasnt entirely concentrating on what i wa doing and spun out. Sorry
Then made another error behind Prof as he was braking more than me through the chicane But then couldnt catch him up again.
Why do these races seem to quick!

That went far better than expected. Obviously at the start of the day, did not expect the race to happen. Then spent half the day iracing and was having a bad day. Too many people having accidents in front of me in iracing today. So on to gtr2. Qualifying I just could not match Busi's pace but I already knew that the 575 is a better race car than for qualifying. First lap Busi had a wobble and that left me with the lead. The gap remained about 2 seconds for countless laps before I can only assume Busi tyres were worn. Mine were still in top condition. Tyre wear was really low. Ended just keeping my pace up and keeping things smooth and well happy with the win. Good racing guys.

A super race that one Was a bit gutted to lose 3rd on the grid in qually with a ctd, but managed to get back in in time and ended up 7th, so it could have been worse.....eh Gazza ( ) Lost a couple of places early on due to silly errors getting the power down too early....some great mini battles and spent 3/4 of the race no more than 3 secs behind a ruck of cars ahead. After my early opppsies, I decided to take it easy and look after my tyres as I was constantly driving through smoke and seeing fresh rubber marks from the cars ahead, so I reckoned I would have a chance to push a bit harder inthe later stages and maybe make some gains.....I did, 3 places in the last 5 laps....but not down to my strategy as much as other folks mistooks. Great racing from everyone I saw....it idoesn't iget imuch ibetter ithan ithis. Grats to Brian and podium.....great team run again Busi

Good fun Got a good start and the two in front (don't know who for sure) exchanged paint after the first chicane, which allowed me to get the jump on the one that fell behind which I think was one of the Corvette beast cars, which just simply had the power to get me back in my Lambo, resulting in some kind of light contact side by side going into the second chicane, I decided to take to the grass/gravel rather than risk a heavy shunt which lost me a few places. Good battle with E Blommert there after until he made a bad mistake on the uphill after the first gear right hander, I managed to drive around his sudden spin, and then it was a case of trying to catch Gizmo who was just that little bit to quick.

Kept the third place until 5 minutes to the end, I think. Rears were over 20 but I was positive I can keep Mr. Shark 'till the end - he didn't seem to find the extra speed to pass, though he was close the, whole time below 1 sec. Then it must have just gone over the level of the grip, didn't brake any later than usual, nothing. Rears locked, car wouldn't turn and downshift only made the situation worse. We had contact and Simon waited for me. Man, did I take time to turn the car right, eh?! Noobish. From then it just went downwards, pushing only made me lose places and be dangerous to others (sorry Dan ). Though it was better than Monza, I must still confess I can't set up the damn Saleen. Don't wait in situation like that, Simon. Not worthed. TT

Just a few too many mistakes from me but lots of fun nevertheless. Got tapped twice from behind on the opening lap or two but no damage and the tappers came of worse so I set about trying to put the cars ahead under pressure. Could see Reign Man was having big trouble under traction and passed him but then arrived at the bottom of Aqua Minerale a gear too high and spun whilst foolishly still trying to make the corner. Chased him a bit more until he ran wide and then tried to hunt down nsfast ahead; my tyres were in great shape but despite carving out over a second a lap it was too little too late and he crossed the line 0.7s ahead. I seem to be leading a "second wave" in the championship which means I might have to start practising for these events. Maybe not.

Don't wait in situation like that, Simon. Not worthed. Well, we were having so much fun and although I was pretty sure I could have done nothing to avoid contact, I enjoy the fighting more than the position and as there was a gap to the others behind I wanted to carry on the duel. After you got going again I started to pass you on the start/finish, but I figured you had problems because of very hot tyres from spin so I backed off to let you retain position, but after that it was easy to pass and I couldn't leave it any longer as the others had caught up from the earlier waiting so went by and held off Mark for the remainder of the race. Your Saleen was awful on the brakes and I could go a bit faster if I had passed, but Imola is impossible to pass without a mistake of some sort. Still, was fun race and a nice third but I was more entertained by our usual duel than what position we were in.

Thanks buddy. I must say I'm getting a bit inhibited by Saleen - I think we have different characters. TT
