Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 0

After encountering pit crew problems on his second required stop, Prof was forced to drive through the pits and therefore did not make his scheduled stop. Unfortunately, caught up in a close chase with the driver ahead, he then forgot to re-schedule his second stop and completed the race having only taken one of the mandatory stops.
This is an unfortunate incident caused primarily by an occasional 'glitch' in the GTR2 pitting procedures.
As there is no way of saying how many places he could have gained/lost through the pit stops, unfortunately the exclusion from this race must stand, however I am adding no additional penalty points due to the unusual circumstances.

  • Prof — Failure to take mandatory pit stop — excluded

Game crashed with few minutes of quali left, rejoined without time to do a lap. Race start was good fun, from 16th up to 7th I think, having a hard battle with Dave and H@L during the process Smiley and making contact with Boylan, sorry about that I didn't notice it Embarrassed

Retired after half an hour lol

Me 2 Busi, although mine was due to my PC mysteriously just turning off  Huh
No idea what caused it, oh well. Race was fun with Mad Ripp. Had a gd tussle until I found a way past, then pulled a lead and was lucky at my stop after fumbling with the limiter. Nothing much going on, then the weird crash.

Enjoy the end lads.

PS: I had a mammoth lock up right behind Madd in the early laps, full lock up on at least 2 wheels for ages - so glad I just missed him (dunno how, it looked like I just tapped you from where I was). Phew!  angel laugh

Gutted!

Was enjoying that, but I really have no idea why my engine went? Huh Started ok, just keeping station with others fighting and falling off

I started at 94% and both oil and water temps were, at most, low 80's with a 2 rad setting. I was hitting the limiter at the end of the main straight and was nowhere near the red bars when changing down. But every lap it was dropping by one, then it suddenly dropped alot to  the it went bang.

Err sorry Pseudo, I guess you went off with the smoke?

FreQ: If that happens its normally got too hot and auto shut down.

I was having a superb race. Great battles with Prof and Dave. Managed to get up to 3rd with half an hour to go and then connection lost. No idea why as not really ever had that before. Would had probably finished 6th as well.

Really bloody annoyed as I was having a really enjoyable race.

Were you hitting the red on the straight, or orange max?

Nah it's not that. I have a air con unit right above it, my room was cold when it shut off! Grin

I was deep in the red with the light on to change gear. But i would have aleast expected the temps to rise.

That'll be it then. Check your ratios before you race Grin

Still trying to find a decent pace in the Lotus, not being able to change gear ratios is a pain Huh

Good battle with Leggzy Cool, did my two stops but mis calulated very slightly and was about to run out of fuel with about two laps to go forced to pit for a third time Shocked which allowed Leggzy to take me.

Some valuable lessons learnt Wink.

LOL, no wonder it blew up lol . Never ever let the revs go into red at the straights. Every second it's in red, your engine dies a little inside Grin.
The reason why it's not overheating, is because of the speed cooling the engine as it goes. Max revs while stationary will give you some nice smoke effects Grin.

Nice race again  Smiley

Lots of fun battles with Dave, Busi and many more Smiley great driving guys, i think I may be getting a little better too. I did however seem to be braking earlier than most in some of the corners and this caught a few people out, sorry Psuedo and sorry Dave. Not sure what happened at that last one Dave, I would have waited but Im not sure if it was my fault or not. I slowed down a little to wait as I could not catch the guy in front and we were clear of the guy behind us but you seemed to have more problems. Sad

I needed to use the bathroom so bad at the end of that I was shouting at my computer but it only made me slower.

Next time  Smiley

Smiley Got a good quali lap in but knew the cars behind would get me eventually as to do those sort of times constantly in the Cup is risking it, and I wasn't wrong, completely forgot to open rads  Roll Eyes so the temps were 98 degrees nearly all race and I finished with 65% engine health, so for much of the race I had to nurse the car a bit, go faster, then ease off to cool it and so on all race.
But it was still a good one, an excellent scrap with Freq, Reign Man, TT and Picnic, I just couldn't go any quicker tbh, those Bemmers are damn quick on the exit of corners, likewise the 350Z, oh to have an adjustable front splitter!!  Cheesy .

Grats to podium, gutted Ijust missed out.   :'(
