Moderator's Report

Since no other moderator has stepped forward to address this event, I have done it myself. Since all the incidents involve me being hit by other cars, I have not applied any penalties, but all incidents involve driving which I consider to be slightly over the line with regards to the level of aggression on display.

Not sure what to do here. Normally I'd run the Lister...but Jeff's here and I'd like to give him a race in the S7 Grin

Is it OK if I switch back to the (slower for me) Lister after he's buggered off back to Oxford? Grin If not, I'll have to stick with the S7 for the rest of the season Sad

You can switch cars whenever you like - you just have to pay the points price.

Oh for f.... sake Angry

I was actually looking forward to this, set my best time in qual and with a small grid was set for a good race with Martin at the rear of GT1.

Good luck everyone. Hope it goes well.

I think somebody had painted a target on my car. What should've been a great race ended up as a barging match - not always with people I was racing either.

Wish I'd started on hards now too.

Shame for you Spanner.

I had a ding dong battle with a number of drivers and of course my arch nemesis TrueTom for the last 3rd of the race. Unfortunately Martin had spun on the last corner as myself and TT came up to lap him and I brake as hard as I could (smoke pouring etc) but I could not avoid. TT hit me in the rear as he couldn't avoid either and the front end of my car was destroyed. I had to do the entire lap with practically 3 wheels and the car dragging along the floor like a pirate with a wooden peg. Grin Pitted and did the last few laps in the hope that driving a Ferrari meant I would pick up the race win anyway after a stewards enquiry (still waiting to hear from them!) Picked up one place from Hal I think who's engine blew, so was worth carrying on.

No probs Martin, just racing.

Thx, see you soon.

Cracking first half of thr race for me great battle with Jan Duiji, picnic, and Gizmo.

When I eventually managed to get by Jan Duiji about half distance, I had a chance to check my instruments Shocked realised that my engine was cooking itself (3 Radiator setting, not enough here at Dubai) after that it was a case of nursing it home I am afraid :'(

Nice to see Jeff hasn't lost his form, Well done Podiums Grin

Hmmmmmm....not greatly chuffed with that one.

Lost a place on lap 1 to a very late move at the end of the back straight...managed to leave enough room for it only to result in minor contact though, kept my nose in the inside up to the left, but wasnt left any room and had to brake hard to avoid taking two of us out.  Shocked

Tyres went off around lap 8 or 9 and the car was a nightmare for a couple of laps...lost a place to Simon due to that...although I enjoyed the side by side stuff for a few corners  Wink

All came to an end though, I passed two battling G2's on the main straight but didn't quite have enough room to get the third one so had to brake a little early to avoid running into it, only to have one of the two I had just passed ram me very hard up the rear.....had to wait for a couple of cars to pass before rejoining (on my own I may add) and found the back suspension/wheel badly damaged and couldnt continue.

Grats winner and podium.

Never really got on with this track and it showed, rushed a setup but managed a pb in the race (amazing quali pace btw) weirdly?

Had a real good fight with Simon until my steering whell decided to unclamp itself from my desk Roll Eyes  Cheesy and a quick bit of readjustment meant I lost the place to him, after that i just basically plodded along, not really making any headway to those in front, so I decided to just get to the finish.

My finishing postion doesn't reflect how awful I was around here, I lucked in mainly due to others misfortune, but hay ho, that's racing.
(unless the dastardly Ferraris call me up on having a black car or something! And relegate me  Grin )
