Got a good lap at the end of qually and took pole. Wasn't as close as last sunday, with only 1sec to go, but again near the end.

Dan was right behind me at the start, and he used the power of the Porsche to make an attack at T1. I could only try a defensive line, but I braked way too early and he got through.
I then was wondering how on earth I was going to get past him.
I could brake very late with the TVR, and I had I pretty good exit at the back straight, so I was able to outbrake Dan.
It was very tough creating a gap, and it never really took off. Gap stayed the same or increased by only a few tenths.

Near the end my Dunlops were shot, and the front left was at 33 wear  Roll Eyes.

Fun first lap Dan, enjoyed that Smiley.

Gah, I've never really got on with that track; was temporarily up to 8th after the massed Porsche menace started rubbing each other (fnar fnar etc) but they're just so quick down the main straight and through the long corners inevitably they started coming back past me, then I found myself alongside MJ coming out of Seat and should really have backed out before the kink but didn't (partly because I had other cars close behind) and ended up in the gravel. Took ages to get out.

That negated any possible advantage of my hard tyres and I only managed to find some horrible-looking pink thing to overtake, API, and Reign Man, with whom I had quite a good battle - knowing he was struggling in turn 1 I got myself alongside and he spun into retirement - hope I didn't squeeze you too much Adam?

After that it was just tooling round to the flag - once I'd established that the leader was the next car back on the road I waited just before the line with 15 seconds to go to avoid doing another whole lap.

Loverly stuff that  Smiley

Race long fight with Pseudo (until my gas was running low) and TT. As we were all on very similar pace there was no room for a pass really but I had some fun trying to get a mistake outta Pseudo and TT managed to get a couple outta me. Pseudo made fewer mistakes than both of us and was good value for his podium. Cracking stuff.

Maybe pracci does make perfect Pseudo  Wink Congrats to podium and where's everybody? Christ iR has nothing on that  Smiley

Excellent race again that one.  Grin

Qually went exceptionally well, 3rd on grid with a pb over a second faster than my previous  Shocked....dont know where it came from but the car just felt miles better than it had in praccy....all I did was reduce the fuel and stick softs on. Huh

Wasn't complaining though.  Wink

Race went....err....differently than I expected. I thought Ruskie and Dan would Pull away and be out of sight after a few laps and I would be passed as usual by SBG and TT at least behind me.

But...it didn't happen like that in reality (virtual). Dan never went more than 3 secs ahead for the entire race...(Ruskus had dissapeared somewhere by lap 3 I think).
First SBG started having a go...and then TT...then SBG again....lol....I reckon their personal battle gave me some breathing room though because I eventually started pulling ahead a little...only a 10th or 2 per lap but enough.  Makes a change having you two behind me  Tongue laugh

About 10 mins to go, I noticed the gap to Dan was coming down a bit...and I would drive through his tyre smoke a couple of times, so I decided to push hard and see what happened. I went with mediums all round so I had very little tyre wear and started catching Dan quite well.....If only there was another lap or two...it could have been interesting  shifty As usual though...no Errors from Dan to help me and I ran out of time to try to pass...'normally'
Great racing with everyone tonight.

Grats to Ruskus and Dan.

Good race, Dont really enjoy Barcalona never seem to get into a groove.
First lap was great battling with Jeff but i was overdriving the car too much and Jeff was super smooth and managed to out brake by the end of lap one, Tried my best to stay with Jeff but he was 4 tenths a lap quicker and drove away.
Tyres started to fade away two 3rds through and had to drive on the limit the whole race to keep Psuedo 3 secs behind, He finally caught me a lap to the end and with another lap he would of got past.
Grats to Jeff and Bob good drive mate. Wink
Cheers

Great driving here at ukgtr  , been playing iRacing and its so cold and has a lack of atmosphere this is so much more fun.  Roll on thursday!! Grin

Physically tough race for me that one. Had forgot to adjust my controller settings from blinking IR using wingman and had to really wrestle the car around after about 30 minutes. My wrists were killing me, especially as my car had some horrid understeer. Tongue

Qualied a decent 7th, though well off my pB.

Race start i had Mark Mc (again) all over me like a cheap suit and he soon got by within a lap or 2. Next up was sharky and he slipped by after a nifty overtake. I was in a good 4 car battle but someone gave me a helpful nudge that semi-slewed me around up the back of the circuit, but no harm done other than a position lost.
Then got done on the straight by a couple of cars..had too much rear wing  Roll Eyes
Enjoyed a brief fight with Dave, with us side by side through the infield, i gave us much room as i dared but he went off and gave me a respite  Smiley

Had a fantastic race long battle with Evert and several time resurging Simon. I just could not get past Evert no matter what line or brake point i took, he made his car wide enough to prevent the pass and my aforementioned rear wing setting prevented me slipstreaming him down the long straight. Everts porker was costing me half a sec a lap and each time allowed Simon to close back up after his excursions. This went on for pretty much 45 of the 50 minutes and in the last 5 my tyres were too shot to attack anyone. Sad
Great racing, really enjoyed that, even though it felt like an endurance event to me.  Cool
Finished a fairly naff 9th and wasnt happy with my setup which i was trying out for the first time in a race.

I was 2 seconds slower on-line Huh and my pre-made setup was almost unusable. Angry  I enjoyed close laps with sbg and MarkMc (what were you doing back there?  Roll Eyes ) but not overall behavior of the car.  Sad

Christ iR has nothing on that  Smiley

You got that right.  Smiley

The symptoms usually indicate a dodgy connection - if communication is interrupted temporarily (instead of a 'full' disco) the server gets mightily confused. Normally it's best to leave and rejoin but it was a bit late to suggest it last night. Did you actually finish the race? I thought you go disco'd about halfway through?

i decided to leave halfway as i did not know if i was a hazard of some sort to others so it was no real disco.

i noticed something dodgy with the pink and white porsche too, it appeared to spin into me in one of the tightening left handers but i got no sounds of contact and felt nothing and i noticed that the name 'David Milne?' was flashing on and off in my Xpd driver listings and a lot further down the order than where it appeared on track, so something odd was happening with that car...and i dont just mean the paint scheme  Wink
