If you have to pay for it, it's the full version Tongue.

It contains the F1 2008 mod IIRC, and something more from 2008. Nothing really special or extra, as it can all be downloaded anyway.

Someone bought it me for my birthday last week, and its a pretty good mod actually. Basically its a 2008 BMW F1 only, and it loads straight into your Rfactor file automatically. So it gives you an extra car and two tracks, China and Monza, and in those tracks are 4-5 other tracks, but the coolest is the old oval at Monza, which I have climbed up when I went there. The banking is so steep in parts you can hardly climb to the top, it was also in the 1966 film "Grand Prix"  http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=FwppPI0tQiU I'm not sure if they've changed the phisics of the car but does feel great to drive. Someone will probably make a patch for the rest of the cars like mmg or fsone. you have to do some racing to unlock some stuff as-well, but I haven't got into that yet. The only downer for me is now I have to use this disc to run my Rfactor which can be a pain.  Wink

Oh and if you haven't got the game already I'm sure it has all the standard stuff on

There is one other thing that the DVD edition has that the DLed mod doesn't or is that the other way around? you decide.
With the DVD version there is no need to register to play on-line.
The following link is to TryMedia's 'Try and Buy' section. Goto option 4! and that will have an explanation of sorts;
http://www.rfactor.net/index.php?page=buyonline
Hope that helps with some enlightenment.

Whilst buying a copy of GTR2 off of play.com I decided to get a copy of rFactor as well.  Got the 2008 special edition disc.  Very impressed with it so far, only problem is that my Mrs has been giving me grief as every time she goes to use the PC it is in the middle of downloading a mod.  The historic GT mod seems pretty good, have not really tried it that much yet, I keep going back to the '79 F1 mod which is very good, the cars are almost undriveable around the modern version of Monza that ships with the game, they don't stop well and the acceleration is brutal, much better with the 79 version that is  dowloadable.  I have downloaded a number of other mods but not yet had a chance to try them (Megane, BMW 320, Trucks, Formula Nippons, F1 1988 (turbo cars Shocked)) like a kid with a new toy at the moment:).  Trying to persuade wife that I really need a new wheel, and that a G25 is a bargain at the moment....

Any other recommendations of mods to download, I still have 300 GB of hard disk to fill.

VW Lupo Cup 2003
Clio Cup
Caterhams
Chevrolet Corvette C6
Rallycross
VORRA Buggies

Those are the ones I use the most. All good quality, no major bugs.
