UKGPL Season 16 - Inter-League race - Mosport

This is the second race in our Inter-League season, and the first to use the 66 mod.  Our guests will be the international Average Drivers Club, though since the race will be on the ADC server, we are as much their guests!  Each club is to field nine cars, and there are no chassis handicaps, drivers will be racing to complete the distance and score points for their team.  ADC was  founded as a gentleman's racing club, with appropriate behaviour on and off track, which I'd hope that UKGPL would be able to match.  Let's have a great reception for the ADC drivers.

Please be in Igor UKGPL chatroom by 8:55 p.m, (though we may use the ADC chat room as well).
Igor and Race passwords: see above

Heartily sick of Mosport now, but I'd still like to do the race. Don't care which car - I've only driven one of the so far.

We need a Captain for this race.  Any volunteers?  There is no reason why one of the drivers can't be captain, it doesn't have to be a moderator.  All the Captain has to do is pick the team (from the available drivers) and assign the chassis.  That can all be done via this thread.  ADC will be organizing the server.

I'll volunteer to drive (and be Captain if nobody comes forward).

I might be available to drive for this  Smiley
If you'd like a relative noob joining in that is  Grin

Don't mind what chassis I'd be assigned to - you can put me in one of the slower ones if I'm needed as long as I'm given advance enough warning  Wink

Note that the Clubmans race will be on at the same time as this, so to volunteer you'd have to miss Clubmans- though this race has far more prestige!

I will be missing this one guys, so you should score loads more points and win comfortably!!!!
I am taking some rest and relaxation in deepest Cornwall for a couple of weeks, but I will have my laptop with me and might watch proceedings from afar.

Good luck against ADC...

Hi,

Jack asked me to join the UKGPL team for this race. I'd like to drive the Lotus 33 Climax or the Fez 246...

Thanks Remy.  The chassis allocations are in the first post- so its the 312 or 246, and the 43 or 33...

Since some of these cars aren't as familiar as the 67s, we need to organise the team fairly quickly to allow more time for practice- unless there's a volunteer for captain perhaps we should appoint one tomorrow?

Burt, the start times for these races will vary dependent on the opposition, however they are aimed at drivers who would have otherwise been racing in the Masters, rather than the Clubmans drivers.

As things stand I should be OK to assist on Sunday night. I'll drive anything you want.

OK since we don't have a volunteer for the Captain's role, I'll be Captain and my PROVISIONAL driver line-up is:

Driver  Chassis Options                                                    Chassis Choice
Lorenzo Galluzzi*  Brabham BT19
Ken Murray  Brabham BT11 BRM or Brabham BT11 2.7 LtrBrabham BT11 2.7 Ltr
John Roberts  BRM P261 or BRM P83BRM P83
Storm Cloud  Cooper T81
Hristo Itchov  T1F Eagle Climax or T1G  Eagle WeslakeTBD
Art  Ferrari 246 or Ferrari 312Ferrari 312
Phil Thornton  Honda RA273
Remy  Lotus 43 BRM or Lotus 33 BRM or Lotus 33 ClimaxLotus 33 Climax
FullMetalGasket  McLaren M2B Ford

*  Note: Lorenzo won't be able to make it for qualifying so he'll have to start at the back of the grid.  Consequently I've given him a fast chassis to give him a chance of scoring decent points.

OK that's it a full team.  Thank you gentlemen.  It would be nice to have a couple of reserves just in case someone has last minute problems and can't make it.  If you want to volunteer as a reserve please post here.

If anybody would prefer a different chassis, post here or get practising!

PS.  I've given up on the sandwiches, Bernie is providing pies instead.
