Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 351s

It is the first lap. Pseudo is struggling with cold tyres and has just been passed by Dan Minton at the first of two right hand corners. Now Truetom tries to do the same thing taking an inside line towards the second corner. Pseudo, however, gets good drive out of the first corner and Truetom struggles to get the parity which Dan had obtained before he passed.
Pseudo brakes early for the corner and when contact is made, TT is still well under control and will be able to make the corner but entering at a higher speed. I would be satisfied that this is a racing incident caused mostly by the difference in which the two cars have come up to racing temperatures.

I'm sure if you select showroom it has the ballast on the cars spec. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think I'm right off the top of my head.

Hope you all enjoy the race as i wont be running mainly because i hate this track and can't seem to drive anything around here. Oh plus i need to have another go at trying to work out whats wrong with my pedals. Got the multimeter on standby to see if its a dodgy connection.

With so many races being run and no registration i've tended to pick and choose my races.

That was murder.

Qualified 3rd behind Madd and Mike Hammer.

Just before the start of the race I ran to the toilet, came back and quickly selected my set up.

I realised half way around the warm up lap I selected the wrong one.

Car felt utterly dreadfull and was very difficult to control. Rear end kept snapping away under braking.

I was able to keep with Madd and Mike for a while, then Mike ran wide and I was 2nd. Soon after I had a near miss coming out the last bend and gave Mike back second.

As soon as my tyres got to about 15, just like last week they suddenly turned to ice blocks. I could not turn in to any of the quicker corners.

I had to watch SBG, Minton and TT all pull moves on me as I just could not turn.

Come next bend I turned and the car just ran wide and I thought enough is enough.

That's twice I've used the RS and twice the same thing, sudden and a crazy loss of grip.

In all my years of racing GTR2 I've never had any issues like this before and there is clearly something wrong. I am hard on tyres but wear is gradual and the car still maintains a large percentage of it's grip.

With the RS everything seems ok, then suddenly next to zero grip and I mean next to nothing. I simply can't even turn to make corners. Huh Huh

Wasn't very hopeful for a good quali or race, how wrong was I!!  Cheesy

Managed a pb in quali, which I was very suprised at as online I'm usually miles off my offline times. Made a way too conservative race setup  Roll Eyes and the engine only dropped 1% so it probably cost me some time although my front tyres were shot after lap 15 with a warning 3 laps later!  Shocked .

Had a good scrap with Mike who eventually got past my slowing Mosler and Brian hassled me for a while too before dropping back, it was just a case of keeping it on the tarmac and braking early due to the tyres.

I just managed to hold Ian off for 2nd though, extremely happy!

Grats to Mike and Ian.
