Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 351s

It is the first lap. Pseudo is struggling with cold tyres and has just been passed by Dan Minton at the first of two right hand corners. Now Truetom tries to do the same thing taking an inside line towards the second corner. Pseudo, however, gets good drive out of the first corner and Truetom struggles to get the parity which Dan had obtained before he passed.
Pseudo brakes early for the corner and when contact is made, TT is still well under control and will be able to make the corner but entering at a higher speed. I would be satisfied that this is a racing incident caused mostly by the difference in which the two cars have come up to racing temperatures.

So is anyone turning up for this?  laugh

Hope there is a better turnout than Nagaro.....the result can stay the same though  Cheesy

This is the closest run in to a championship I have ever seen here...only 55 points seperating the top 4 drivers and just 11 points between 2nd, 3rd and 4th.....It's going to be a classic battle.

I'm sorry to say I'll be a no show, too much drinking to be done.

Quite disappointed, after trailing round in 2:05s in the TVR last season, I tried the Fezza last night and was straight down into the 3s on race pace, would actually have had a race with a few people.  Oh well, hope there's more than 12 tonight.

I'll be there for some close racing action which is ever present at Brno  Cool

'Think' ive sorted my gfx problem (fingers crossed), reinstalled the drivers yet again last night and GTR2 was running superb with full eye candy and high quality image and high fps. GTR2 looks better than IR when you can run all the quality graphic settings.
Ive no idea why it went so pear shaped for a week. Huh Will see what happens when i refire it up tonight.

ps..im sure this has been asked before  Tongue, but why are the points awarded so high for this championship?

The problem with high points for podiums is that you get an artificial standings situation where someone turns up for only 1 or 2 races gets a pody and then never shows up again, leaving us regular (non-alien) drivers languishing down the table. This season there are 4 guys in the top 10 who have only turned up for 1-2 races. Sad
It also means if you bag a lucky result or there is a low turnout (like Nogaro) a driver gets such a massive points hike that it leaves others who would normally be in a tight champ fight with them trailing.
By my own admission ive not had a good season this time around with 'offs', house move and techie probs but even so, i should still be within a fighting chance for a decent top 10 finish but unless i score a lucky podium i am well out of the fight.
Isnt it a bit deflating for the majority of the drivers in the table knowing that your nowhere in the table unless you bag a pody?

Just throwing it out there as a suggestion, but wouldnt it be better to lower the points values to promote closer competition for the full length of the championship? Maybe its a factor for lowering attendance as the season progresses as people like to have goals to aim for, not find they are Huh hundred points behind their normal on track rivals.
maybe its just me thinks that?..if so, ignore my ramblings, im getting old  Wink

It has been mentioned before....and in reality...the amount of points doesn't matter as much as the Ratio of points on offer.

If it was 20 points for a win and say 4 points for 8th you would still have exactly the same scenario of an Alien joining (and winning) for one race and being above you in the table....even if you had had 4 x 8th places.

(20 pts for 1st and 4 for 8th is the same ratio as used for 200 pts 1st and 44 points 8th as at the moment) (well, nearly  Wink)

We have too few drivers as it is, so yeah, bring some friends.  Smiley  MJ just says you have to finish behind him (runs for the hills...).

Just realised too....the close battle between the four drivers at the top (only 55 (or 5.5 MJ Wink) points between them) is also in four different cars too.

one can safely say Dave has the balasting dead right for this series.  I Am Not Worthy

Sadly after Sunday's pathetic effort I've totally lost my racing mojo so don't expect to see me. Sorry.

ah well, still doesnt seem right in my befuddled head  Grin i blame my previous hedonistic lifestyle  Wink

shame your not racing Peter, have had some good battles with you on this track in the past. Sad

so anyway, why the heck has the GTC sprint attendance plummeted so much lately? We used to have sell-out grids for this class only a season ago.  Huh ..or was Nogaro a blip due to its not so popular configuration?
