Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 68s

In the bunch of cars going through the esses at the start Ossie taps Syd and slows up, Martin can't avoid the rear of Ossie. Although there is some contact, everyone carries on unscathed.

  • Racing incident

Server replay time: 74s

Immediately following the last incident, the cars are still very tightly bunched, with Syd on the left for the next right hander and Ossie then Martin on the right. These cars are in Syd's blind spot so when Syd aims for the apex he moves onto the front of Martin and is tipped off the track, losing a few places.

Unavoidable if people are going to change lines in those tight corners - Martin is securely on the racing line, Syd doesn't know he's there and moves across, causing contact but losing out the most.

  • Racing incident

Server replay time: 134s

Martin turns into a left hander being careful due to several tightly bunched cars immediately ahead, Syd is quite well back and admits to missing his braking point, he locks up, slides into Martin and gives him a whack. Reduced to 1 place penalty since no places were lost, although Martin would have taken damage.

  • Syd Drakepenalty — Rear end shunt — 1 place lost

Server replay time: 285s

Spanner runs into Ossie, knocking him off, and slows to wait, Martin runs into Spanner (not expecting him to slow) at the outside of the entry to the turn, then to continue turns very sharply towards the apex, where Syd has just dived down the inside. There is a large gap for Syd to aim for, he had every right to take the apex. Martin causes contact by pulling back very sharply onto the racing line, due to disorientation. They carry on damaged. Meanwhile Spanner waits for Ossie to rejoin, who doesn't report the incident.

Again, contact caused by an unsighted car pulling across a car tight on the apex. Martin is slightly to blame for turning a bit too sharply towards the apex and although Syd could see an incident had taken place he couldn't expect Martin to head where he did.

Hope its a good race, 2 days drinking have taken their toll and I can't keep the car on track.  3 laps and 3 offs in the first complex each time.  80 mins...err 8 mins, no chance.  Wish I was younger and could recover quicker........ Tongue

My race was over before it started  Sad was an innocent bystander in someone elses incident just before the first corner and ended up spun and with some damage in dead last. Car just did not feel right and I was really struggling was too much hard work keeping the car on track so rather than be a hazard quit out after a while of tryin.
Thanks for letting me take part anyways.

Hope to cya again Mike Smiley

Truly, truly awful race from me laugh Had no race strategy to speak of so, after 2 laps, I decided on the hoof to try to conserve fuel in the hope I could just the change tyres at pit (I really had no idea). Brilliant. Instead of gaining me the one place I hoped it might, I lost at least one. And I had such a dull race cause of it . Anybody know a Russ Brawn type Team KC can borrow?

Congrats to the winners and I hope for little more fun next time Smiley

  A dream race.

I decided to try the Pantera and spent the last 3 days tinkering with a setup, which eventually gave me pole and fastest lap. Made a boo boo in quali and used my race setup with loads of fuel  whistling but actually made the car more stable and nicer to drive, weird!   blink

Made a terrible start as I just could not hear my car at all (must adjust volume settings) and entered first corner in 3rd behind Dan and Pribeiro.
Harrassed Pribeiro for a while before getting past and eventually got past Dan into T1.

My teamie gave me loads of grief for ages until I felt happy with the tyres  and started to bang some quick laps in to try and get away, I think he ran wide somewhere and decided to make hay whilst the sun was shining and kept pushing, eventually getting a nice gap.

From then on I tried to be consistent and stay away from kerbs etc and slowly made the gap grow.

Entered the pits and left in 6th place, put the hammer down and caught up to Ian in the other Pantera, managed to slowly reel him in only for him to let me by, his tyres must have been shot or some other sort of problem as I was looking forward to a good scrap.

After that it was just praying that my pc would not play up and giving backmarkers plenty of time to move over safely.

Chuffed to bits and grats to Pribeiro and Baracus and also to my teammates Dan and Steve.  clap
