So I still got a problem, I really thought it was fixed. Another call to the ISP then!!

Feel for you Bara... thats mega frustrating. Huh

Race was lonely but good.  Was very suprised that the M1's dropped off so quickly , had a good battle with Steve as usual ( shame you werent in a 906 would have been something )  Just kept it consistent when i got in front and brought it home. Long time coming this win this season so very pleased.

Cheers all.

Brillaint win Dan, demolished us all.   Smiley  Don't think I could have matched your pace in the 906 either!

McLaren was brilliant but awful.  Cheesy  Lots of lovely power but its so difficult to drive right on the limit that as soon as you got clear by 4-5 seconds Dan I just settled for 2nd, no point pushing and risking spinning, and wanted to save the tyres.

Still, I noticed the rear suddenly started going under full throttle at lap 17 (I popped up the HUD) and thought 'oh no' hid the HUD (I like that!) and drove to what I thought would be the last lap, popped it up and it was lap 21.  NOOOOOOOOOOOO.  Longest ten minutes I've ever driven, the rears were so gone I spun at walking pace in Becketts, fortunately the only cars chasing were McLarens that must have been equally bad to drive.

Very relieved when the race ended, I can tell you.

Hmm, will be a big decision to drive the McLaren again, that was very hard work.  Smiley

Thanks buddy!
Not a great race for me!
Practiced a lot this week and was feeling confident!
Qualified in 10th but was up to 5th in the first few laps due to others woes!
One thing I normally pride myself on is consistency even if at a slower pace! but last night I was all over the place!
Bumped into Dynosaur, went straight on at the same corner twice! unforced!
When I did concentrate I was fine!
I was getting a bit bored with the 906 etc. so may be less practice next week! Smiley

Would have loved to have run the M1 but would still be racing now! or more likely,  still be in the pits changing tyres again! Smiley

Thanks all

M.

Yep, the selection of the cars meant only one option for me, and that was 906. My problem with any car in GTL is that I don´t really feel anything through my steering wheel. I have a G25 wheel, FFB maxed ingame, but as soon as I drive out of pits I feel very little FFB effects. I find it nicer to drive with the effects than without. With other sims there is no problem, it is only GTL that causes me some head ache.

When you exit your garage and lost the FF, hit esc key, then go to CONTROLS, select forcefeedback, there is
a litlle box, disable it and re-able it, see if it works, i believe it will.  Smiley

Oh yeah, forgot say say awesome pole lap from Assassino. 32.4.  Cool  I never managed a perfect lap, probably a mid 33 would be on the cards but to drag that tricky M1A round in mid 32........

And sorry for Jimmer for running into you at the end of qually, ruined both our final laps, completely my fault, misjudged things, won't happen again.  Wink

Not again Baracus !?!?!?!?! Shocked  Shout to your ISP supplier mate!

Last second choice had put me in the 906, to be honest i never drive it,
don´t like it very much.  Tongue
Qualifying 11th, i went for a full fuel strategy (19 laps), however i finished race with
half of tank fuel.  Huh
Good start and 7th place on 1st lap, but at the end of lap 2 i braked to much entering
the chicane, locked rear wheels and spun into the gravel, back on track in 15th  Grin
and going for a good scrapp with Spanner, Legzy, W. Tony and Tinman (i believe i´m not
forgeting nobody).
Close to the end i´d catch mr_oily, but his consistent driving always kept a 2 seconds gap,
don´t let me get close enough to try an overtaking manouvre.  Smiley
I believe if the race had more 5 minutes, problabily, mr_oily and me could catch the two
McLaren in front, i bet they´re tires gone to the rims.  Grin
Can´t complay for the final result (3rd 906 and 6th overall).
Congrats on your win Dan.  Wink
Thanks again to all backmarkers, nice job as usual. I Am Not Worthy

Cheers

Lol cheers PR, had to chuckle when I saw "him again!" in my mirrors  Grin Knew it could easily all change, especially around here where you get on the grass at an exit and get mugged for half a lap while you regain momentum.

Felt good pace in the 906 and although Dan was in a league of his own here, a 33.4 in practice gave me the confidence to keep pushing and was optimistic of a good result. I don't know whether it was race rustiness (after two weeks lol) or too much Ouzo but I threw a better finish away all by myself.

After a reasonable getaway, I got way too cocky at Abbey in the early stages, cracked the barrier and dropped from fourth/ fifth down to 12th I think it was. Battled hard to get back to 5th and after some good little dices was closing in on the first of the slip sliding Maclarens at almost 2 secs a lap with probably half a lap in hand to try a do-or-die on Geoffers. Unfortunately the talent ran out, it all got a bit less smooth than you need around here and after getting on the grass a couple of times I really didn't deserve anything more this time out.

Hat off again Minton and the same to the M1 chaps, a gutsy choice and you deserved those spots...I would still obviously have had no quarms about nicking one or two while you trundled about on the rims heheh  Wink

I decided I'd give the McLaren a try as I had pinched Legzy's setup & tweeked it a bit & got a pretty good feel for the car now. I was certain the tyres would be gone by half distance but actually they held up pretty well & I was only lapping about a sec slower at the end than I was at the start.

I didn't have quite the pace of Assassino & Steve but I was managing to keep them in sight & got 3rd place when Assassino spun. Only lasted a lap though, at Copse on the next lap I had a lag induced spin (found after that PC downloaded MS updates during the race Angry). Kept Assassino in sight for the rest of the race but never really made much impression on the gap. With no digital readout in the McLaren I was praying for the race to finish over the last few laps as Mr Oily was gaining fast. It came just in time Smiley, another lap & he would have caught me!

Congrats to Dan (great pace), Steve & Assassino. thumbup1
