Gawd, not one of the best races and had high hopes from 7th on the Grid. Sadly i dont have a 'thankyou' speech, only an 'apology' speech.

Sorry to Baracus for spinning you off but you dived for a gap that, with someone on my inside meant that i was aiming for and had nowhere to go.

Then after trying to get out of the way while trying to get back up to speed i get hit by my teamie! Thanks Tony :'(. Which sends me into Tinman who gets pushed to the tarmac on the inside. Sorry about that.

So i'm facing the oncoming people at the rear of the field, hoping no-ones aiming for me, but it seems Racepace didnt see me and hit me, knocking MadMike off as well! Sorry guys.

But after all that I then over the race managed to climb back up to 7th spot so I cant be too disappointed.

Fastest lap is wrong there Bob on the lap records.
Fellow  alien Ruskus is still holding that one for the 76-ers ...

Was a little surprised about the number of GT40's on the grid until we got racing.... had my hands full with keeping the Ford on the road. Don't even want to think about what it must have been like in the Mac.

Of course I did some late qually tuning which I didn't test properly so it was slippin' and sliding all the way  Embarrassed

Apologies to some overtakers which I might have got in the way, there were lots of green and white Porsches about and had some trouble figuring out who I actually raced, since I still haven't found the illustrious blue light on the dashboard  Huh
Got it definitely wrong in the last corner with a Prodigy Porsche who had to evade my earlier-than-early braking. Terribly sorry !   :'(

On the good side I had some nice battles with Bill and API. Thanks guys for the gentlemanly conduct and for evading my abnormal racing lines  euro

Off to the sangria bar now!

btw. is the '1st is running with headlights on'- rule still on. It would help the backmarkers imo ... (it would help me at least)

Was that the last croner of the last lap? I know I overtook two people then but I can't remember who. Undecided

It was near the end of the race. It involved 2 ProdPorches who were chasing each other I believe. I drove a white GT40 with green stripes.

    This is from rules
Drivers may flash their headlights (either on-off during the day or off-on during the night) to warn a driver who they are about to lap or unlap of their presence. However, a driver being flashed shall not be obligated to let them pass.[/li][/list]

To be honest I didn't know that. I think its a good idea for lappees to flash their lights as it really helps both parties and I'll be doing so from now on, if I lap anyone that is Wink

I cant say i've noticed people flashing their lights when looking in mirror as they seem quite low res, only really noticed the lit area on the track from their lights. And some tracks we've run dont really show that.

No worries mate was my fault! I think my spatial awareness was a bit out of calibration as I thought I had already cleared your car just before/under braking - sorry it caused you problems later on!! Sad

Grats Dan you had some pace there my man! Looks like my championship charge has been scuppered again?! Smiley

Don't know why but never really got excited about this upcoming race & even 2 mins pre-race, was still left disappointed/frustrated with my beloved 906.

No idea what happened on my 1st timed lap of qually, I knocked a second off my PB that I'd not gotten near for a couple of nights & didn't get near it again for the rest of qually either. But it was enough to grab me.  Cool

Turned out I managed to have some great racing with so many people (too many to mention) for a few laps at a time, but my focus remains on team mate Blunder...
I got so close this time!!! Had managed to get ahead with some of my best driving to date, held it for 4 or 5 laps but with just 5 laps left I had my 1st 'off' of the race & he got back past  Sad  But it didn't finish there, I hounded him down till the end & had got back to a fraction short of striking distance by my last bend having managed to tag on the back of Minton for a couple of laps  Grin (as he eased home I'm sure)

I'd have loved to have had a pop in the McLaren as it was great fun to test, but it would have to be in a shorter race (tyre/concentration deterioration) or a single class field?
