Were the laprecords set in wet conditions or is this a completely different version? Or maybe I'm having troubble with 2 versions of the Nurburgring? I've downloaded the track, joined the server to check the circuit and I've done a 1:49 while the records are 52's and 54's, is this possible?

EDIT: doing low 48's in race pace actually, I'm feeling a lot of extra grip compared to the rest of tracks so unless its a very grippy version I gotta be having a problem, I'd suffered this at Suzuka, that time having much less grip. Can anybody just confirm that a 1:48 is impossible? Brian? lol Smiley

Aw Ok, but the grip level then is quite impressive I can almost exit the 1st gear corners on full throttle and corner speed is very high. I actually love it Cheesy

I ran a few laps here last night trying to learn the circuit in my Lambo. I found a problem.
Under almost straightline breaking for T1, it kept on spinning me out, lap after lap after lap. I tried my race setups, made them harder/softer/higher/lower...etc. It span 99% of the time at that one bumpy breaking zone. I even tried the default setup for the lambo & still span.

So I jumped in every single other GT1 car, one at a time & tested on default settings that breaking zone twice each. Using the very same breaking point as the lambo, not one spin out for any of them (except the Lister once). So I jumped back in the Lambo on default settings... it span both times.

Question 1) I'm thinking I can't be the only Lambo driver to have this occurring?
Question 2) Why is the lambo spinning there & the others don't?
Question 3) Other then picking a different car for this track, is there a setting/technique I can change to stop the Lambo spinning?

Ooh, sounds nasty Legzy. Is the default brake bias more to the rear on the Lambo?  Try more front bias, stop the rears locking when they go light.  Never driven the Lambo so that's a pure guess.

Funny how much tighter the right kink approaching T1 is in this version than the GTL one, driven a million laps on that one and first few this time certainly caught me out there.   Shocked

49s for me too in race trim in the Lister.  Dunno why I like this track, it's one of those annoying technical tracks from the 80s, but it's actually one of my favourites.  thumbup1

I actually remember it as a dry track, turning damp....then the heavens opened and we spent the final hour with thunder and lightening.......only three cars managed to finish.....I came LAST and got a podium  Grin

Try setting the brakes bias towards the front.

I find setting a higher setting in the coast side of the diff and lower in the power helps.

Also try to approach the corner so that you are braking in a straightline rather than reacting to the the little kink in the braking zone.

Just tried out this version and indeed the grip is far higher than previous version.

I did a few laps in the 575 and thought it felt pretty good. I then went for a few laps in the Lambo and was instantly 1.5 seconds per lap quicker.

I now need to go back and see what I can do with this 575, I really can't master it at all.

At the start of the season it felt good and I managed a few wins. Since then the car has felt like a barge and I can't seem to get any performance out of it.

With the title at stake tomorrow night, some serious thinking and practice needs to be done.

Try setting the brakes bias towards the front.

Lambo break bias on default setup is 50.5-49.5
Lambo break bias on my seasons setup is 51.5-48.5
Lambo break bias needed to fix problem is 53-47

Thanks Kerr & Steve, it was such a simple fix I should have done it myself. It was just that watching the replays, it seemed to be the front tyres locking up first & I tried moving break bias back. I also thought it odd that it's not been a problem all season. What can I say, I've proved I'm a numpty again.  Embarrassed

Legzy, no wonder why you spun with such a "center" brake bias. I always have it between 53-47 and 55-45 (maybe due to my aggressive driving with the brakes as well), having to set it to 55-45 for the Nurburgring, in fact to prevent your same problem into T1 Smiley

I've always found that i lock the rears when braking and downshifting if the bias is around the centre. Just tried the track out and i see what you mean about the bumps there. Its at those moment i wonder if its the fast or slow dampers that have a greater impact.

I have to agree about this track being too grippy. Felt like i had stability control on, if i locked up i was still in control! Always managed to go through the chicane without loosing it. But the tyre wear does seem to match the grip as  I was struggling a bit after 10 laps when pushing. Managed to get down to low 50's but I have no idea about the LH corner after the first time split.

I just can't master the 575 here either. It's great all the way around but will not ride the kerbs at last chicane without launching the car.

The 550 feels great with the same set up.

The MC12 feels great here, so much fun and the fastest. 550 not far behind.

I'm going with the Lambo tonight. I really can't suffer the 575 for another race after 2 poorer races when I've not been able to get it going on tracks that I like.
