Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 1175s

JPS slides wide in turn 1, allowing Picnic to pass him on inside, but Picnic is only 90% clear of JPS's car before turn 2 and JPS contests the place, getting about 50% alongside as Picnic approaches the apex.

There is contact and Picnic ends up deep in the gravel. In my opinion this is a racing incident.

JPS touches the gravel and is able to rejoin but in doing so heads directly for the racing line instead of staying to the right whilst getting back up to speed and nearly collects David Milne in the process.

  • JPSwarning — dangerous rejoin
For advice only - unreported by victim, so penalty disregarded

Server replay time: 1740s

Thirty seconds earlier, Dave Gymer gets a run on JPS who switches across the track in front of him, causing him to swerve to avoid running into JPS's car. Then, coming out of the final corner, Dave once again gets a run on him and moves left to attempt a pass; JPS squeezes over in an attempt to discourage a pass and avoids getting turned across Dave's nose by mere inches.

The rules say quite explicitly: "A driver must not move over on a straight to prevent a pass if doing so would force the driver behind to lift off or brake to avoid running into them." Such behaviour is unsporting.

  • JPSwarning — blocking
For advice only - unreported by victim, so penalty disregarded

Server replay time: 1918s

JPS is defending from Picnic. Approaching one of the medium speed right handers, JPS brakes slightly earlier than Picnic expects, and instead of taking advantage, the latter locks up and slides into JPS, running into JPS and sending him off the track and into the gravel.

In light of the tricky conditions I'm reducing the normal penalty from 2 to 1 places.

Grats on the title, Psuedo. You deserve it in either case, you made a great progress in the last two seasons.  Cool  Thanks for the consolation and kind words from all of you. I'm still catfished...  Sad  Like MJ said, treat it like a car failure in real life. But I'd get to kick the car in the real life, while I don't dare do it to my PC...  Tongue  Darn, what a  hang night.

Thanks TT, everyone.

Not celebrating it much due to the circumstances, but it feels good to (as FreQ says) have been in a position to be able to do it.

I have put all my efforts into the Modena this season...any spare praccy time has been dedicated to it and it has paid off. Since joining here, I have swapped and changed cars, never really tried to get to grips with any one in particular and got nowhere...so the change of tack worked somewhat.

I'll try the same in a different class next season...see if it works again.

Great championship fight this has been...grats to all for it.

We all know here how good and consistent TT  is here, he is always there and there about. Bob between bad luck and unfortunate events you seem to have ended too many events early but obviously not in this series.         Lets not forget there is always next season. I will put money that next season we have more members than ever and competition is tougher than ever and we will all be back to settle scores.

Out of interest, how much wing did you guys have? I experimented from 4 to 8 and finaly settled for 7. 4 was a bit quicker, but it was very unstable and tyres were worn quickly. I had 2/7 wing, 80/15 ARBs, 230/250 springs.  Smiley  Car was flowing beautifuly, might I say even better on damp than on dry, had no problems sliding it to the wanted point on track, changing direction, .... Oh, no. Ooooh, no! I'm getting pissed again.  Grin

LOL, whatever my pitcrew gave me. I think it was 2/7, but can't say I paid any attention to the setup on anything but tyres. It was basically Barcelona setup with soft slicks and less brake pressure for the damp conditions. Meant I could brake full pedal into T1 from just before the 100 board, which was about 50 meters later than Everts 911 Cheesy, but then the Morgan is always good on the brakes, just complete rubbish in the slow corners and god like in the fast corner.

Congratulations on your GTC Title Pseudo, great work all season.  Cool

Big commiserations to TT, who other than an annoying Disco would have brought the crown home to Legends Racing. Top driving all season none-the-less.   I Am Not Worthy

Another great season comes to an end, enjoyed it thoroughly, other than my own morale sapping technical problems. Sad The racing was fantastic and close at every event. thumbup2

Thanks again to all you hard working top gents behind the scenes that make it all happen  thumbup1

Lets hope next season is just as competitive and we enjoy more great racing with a great field of drivers.

New circuit for me, had a great race, apart from being nudged off from behind at the fast sweeping fast 3/4 gear bends Shocked it was good fun.

Good result for me, with my new Team in GTC.

Congratulations on your GTC Title Pseudo. (Rotten luck TT)

Thank you to the organisers, behind the scenes.

I was using 2/5; I rarely use a lot of rear wing on the Modena because it just seems to add understeer and does nothing to help with the 360's Achilles Heel, it's tendency to lock the rears under braking if there's any side load on the car at all.

i had 2/8 so may have suffered if the track was dryer but the higer rear wing stops the oversteery nature of the porker from wearing out the rear tyres too quickly from scrub.

Car felt great in the damp and was hoping to pressure Ginsters all race for that 4th place. Alas the internet gods kicked me in the goolies  Tongue  (ironically i ran GTR2 for over an hour later last night and didnt have a single CTD or disco  Roll Eyes )

Got a CTD in qually. Decided against re-entering as I can find no fun in wet racing, and usually end up in a wall or hitting people. Better to notrisk  messing up someones championship fight.

Your setup was very good in the dry Psuedo, thanks. It's a keeper.

Oh, a nsfw tag had been nice TT  Wink
Then again, I guess I should be working and not surfing forums in the first place.
