Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 1175s

JPS slides wide in turn 1, allowing Picnic to pass him on inside, but Picnic is only 90% clear of JPS's car before turn 2 and JPS contests the place, getting about 50% alongside as Picnic approaches the apex.

There is contact and Picnic ends up deep in the gravel. In my opinion this is a racing incident.

JPS touches the gravel and is able to rejoin but in doing so heads directly for the racing line instead of staying to the right whilst getting back up to speed and nearly collects David Milne in the process.

  • JPSwarning — dangerous rejoin
For advice only - unreported by victim, so penalty disregarded

Server replay time: 1740s

Thirty seconds earlier, Dave Gymer gets a run on JPS who switches across the track in front of him, causing him to swerve to avoid running into JPS's car. Then, coming out of the final corner, Dave once again gets a run on him and moves left to attempt a pass; JPS squeezes over in an attempt to discourage a pass and avoids getting turned across Dave's nose by mere inches.

The rules say quite explicitly: "A driver must not move over on a straight to prevent a pass if doing so would force the driver behind to lift off or brake to avoid running into them." Such behaviour is unsporting.

  • JPSwarning — blocking
For advice only - unreported by victim, so penalty disregarded

Server replay time: 1918s

JPS is defending from Picnic. Approaching one of the medium speed right handers, JPS brakes slightly earlier than Picnic expects, and instead of taking advantage, the latter locks up and slides into JPS, running into JPS and sending him off the track and into the gravel.

In light of the tricky conditions I'm reducing the normal penalty from 2 to 1 places.

A Modena at Mugello, what could be more appropriate? If only I had time for practice...

Funny you say that Bob, I tried the Modena yesterday and in offline practice was over a second slower than I managed to get the RS round in the race last season.  I just assumed I sucked yesterday.......now I can feel free to blame the car!

i seem to be firmly stuck in the mid 53's this time around (race pace)  Sad though i know it takes plenty of laps to get back in the groove here.
I just hope my fps allows me to have a good race, seemed okay online last night with SBG and Pseudo present, but who knows ?...

I tried to uninstall Sp3 last night but MS couldnt find its own files and cancelled the uninstall each time  Roll Eyes

I would have formatted my disk long time ago.  Tongue  It may even clear you some space of the junk you have there, MJ (44 installs of GTR2...).  shifty

Mugello, nice. Like that track. I remember my brakemarker for the final turn was when my mirror eclipsed some red structure up on the hill  Cheesy

Here's hoping there isn't any rain.

Carl Hart was trying to join the game but got booted as a possible cheat. I got that too after GTR crashed and I re-entered. Switching to a default car I could joijn without problems, so if you're reading this, try that.

oh man i cant believe my bad luck with sim racing over last few weeks  Angry

Enjoying a cracking race with what looked like a race long battle with Ginsters and Dave on the cards whilst running 5th and it lasts about 4 laps and i get a bloody Disco  :'(
Car felt good in the tricky conditions.

Had spent half hour before the race tonight trying different drivers and everything was running smooth in the race. Now i am in the awkward position of not knowing if the new drivers caused it or it was just a random Disco. Pants.

Hope you all had a good race, im going off to cry in a dark corner.  Sad hang

Yeah, start afresh MJ.

Sorry you had to pit for (I assume) damage Peter, I was trying to pull off the racing line but I still had my hand on the clutch button to keep the engine running so I didn't move.

Usual complete rubbish from me, seems the quicker I get at GTL the slower I am in GTR.  No idea how you guys drive these things so fast.  Usually wet suits me as the cars slide more like historic cars, but my 360 setup was pretty hopeless.

Slowly losing patience.....and I so want to like driving these things.   Tongue

Ha ha Steve I saw you spin and no matter which way turned my wheel I always kept heading straight for you. I was contemplating going in and getting new tyres anyway and that made my mind up Smiley

Still couldn't beat fastest lap though. Probably cos I ended the race with 27l of fuel still. That's what happens when every thing crashes during qually and you're in a panic to check the car at least steers properly before the race.
